Re: Report: Artie Lange Attempts Suicide
A lot of "funny" people deal with depression. Some of the funniest people I have meet in my life all have dealt with deep depression.

Re: Report: Artie Lange Attempts Suicide
Crazy story. I feel bad for the guy, he obviously has some serious issues. I hope he can get his health back in order.

Re: Report: Artie Lange Attempts Suicide
All you have to do is watch him on Joe Buck's show to see he has all kinds of issues, obesity and addiction being two of them. I hope he gets well. It's going to take a lot of work.

Yeah that part is tough to wrap your head around. Same for everyone on the show too I'm sure. Stern wouldn't even read the article on the air this morning. |

Re: Report: Artie Lange Attempts Suicide
Holy crap man. I'm a huge Artie Lange fan, absolutely love his comedy, I loved his autobiography Too Fat to Fish, and I love his movies as well. For those who didn't know this is his second time attempting suicide, back in 95 or 96 when he was doing work on MADTV he tried to OD on sleeping pills, coke and Jack D but one of his cast members found him and took him to the hospital the next day when they were supposed to be shooting. All of that is according to his book fyi.
I just can't believe he would try and do it again. He was able to successfully quit coke back in the day but I think his current drug of choice was heroin (again all according to his book, which came out a couple years ago I think). I didn't think things were that bad for him though. Then again reading his book really gave me some insight to his life and you can see why because it's kinda obvious. I really hope he gets his shit straight because I would be pretty damn sad if he was succesfully able to do it. |
