Hail to the Redskins 10-28-2004 10:33 PM

This one's a slam dunk Matty... something about Sean scares the heck outta me... he really has seemed EERILY similar to Ricky Williams in the way he has conducted his life the past 6 months or so. VERY flaky... he really needs to be reigned in before he reaches his stud potential and won't listen to anyone. (Hopefully someone can get through to him now)

Absolutley Agree with this desicions. I really dont know what to say to defend it other than the obvious. This isnt somthing REDSKINS do, bottom line. Hopefully we will all be able to look past this down the road, but Sunday bench him. There are plenty of guys we can put in there, and with Williams gameplans, I think we can be successful.

I hate that he's not going to be able to play, especially against the Packers, but he did break Gibbs' most important rule: 'don't embarass the Redskins'. He brought it upon himself.

Daseal 10-28-2004 10:55 PM

Innocent until proven guilty. Let the NFL hand down suspensions.

Big C 10-28-2004 11:00 PM

gotta discipline him otherwise he wont learn anyhting

Only in criminal court Daseal. In civil court you only need a preponderance of evidence (more likely he did it than not).

:httr:
 ...why st!?!?!?

Yeah that's what it comes down to, he embarrassed himself and the Redskins.

It's a no-brainer, he's gotta sit.

SmootSmack 10-28-2004 11:17 PM

I think this was all a conspiracy by the Kerry campaign to keep this Redskins election year streak going and put Kerry in the White House

Seriously though, he has to sit. It's for the greater good long-term.

AND - since ST's benching was done by neither a criminal or civil court, the coach doesn't need any evidence whatever.

Instead he could be saying - "Innocent or guilty - You need to settle down young man and realize we have a lot invested in you. Get your sh** together and don't put yourself in a position were your inoncence or guilt is even at issue."

Bench him, without a doubt. What I want to know is where were his teamates? Why would they let him drive home in that condition? He's a rookie and the vet's should be watching over him and leading by example. I know he's an adult with a mind of his own, but it's poor judgement on behalf of his teamates to be condoning this kind of behavior. What he need's right now though is support. I'm pretty sure he feels like crap and nobody was hurt fortunately.

Sit his ass down. We're not the Dallas Cowboys!

Yeah but the district attorney can't take you to civil court.
