Eagles release B. Westbrook, per NFL Network
Don't have a link right now. It is a scroll at the bottom of their channel.
Also, during the Warpath outage, I'm sure everyone knows but just reiterating in a thread, LT was outright released. Chargers bid farewell to L.T., who says he's not done playing yet |

A lot of big names hitting the street. Washed up names that is.

Portis needs to join them

+5 Seriously though, the Redskins might take notice of other teams purging themselves of over-paid, worn out players. I wonder now if he will retire, with his concussion concerns, among other things... |

Yup. It's amazing how fast NFL running backs hit the proverbial wall. Guys like LT, Westbrook, and Alexander went from dominant to done in a very short time. |

I think what's more amazing, is that at one point, Westbrook was THE number one weapon that the Eagles had both in the running and passing game. Westbrook was definitely a game changer. It'll be interesting to see if he has anything left in the tank and whether any team would take a chance on him given his concussion problems last season. |

Portis points to LT as the reason he shouldn't full participation in mini-camps and training camp. Now the Skins can point to LT as the reason to why he should be doing those things. |
Re: Eagles release B. Westbrook, per NFL Network
Does that mean we can release B. Westbrook too?
|
Re: Eagles release B. Westbrook, per NFL Network
considering our B. Westbrook has had 2 arrests already in Shanahan's short tenure as HC, i would say its pretty likely...

LT hitting the wall had nothing to do with off season/pre season stuff. CP is just crying like a baby like he always does cause he's lazy and doesn't want to train. |
Re: Eagles release B. Westbrook, per NFL Network
I think Westbrook has some mileage left and is worth looking at as a part time player. LT is just done.

I think that Doc just said it very well "Age is an undefeated opponent" |

LT or Westbrook? Who would you rather have of the two?

Assuming we're talking about a limited role only, I would take Westbrook. But only if he's 100% back from those concussions of course. |
