What is the latest breakout career that we can think of?
I'm talking about a player who has the longest experience, resides in mediocrity or less, and then all of a sudden breaks out for the rest of his career? This should be largely independent of outside factors.
I have no doubt that players can be listed, maybe Kurt Warner, though he certainly had a break in his productivity, but an example as such opens us up to the possibility that teams can do players injustice. Unfortunately, this ties greatly into the QB debate. There are QBs who arguably could've done much better without given situations hampering them, but what players rebounded from this? |

Seems like it. Anyway I don't know for sure, just felt like thats what he was asking. I guess the thread should be titled "late bloomers." Priest Holmes also comes to mind. 28 years old during his "true" breakout season in 2001. |

Who took the longest to finally "catch on" and become impact players? I'm not sure of another way to present it, no offense. |
Re: What is the latest breakout career that we can think of?
Rich Gannon?

Adalius Thomas. He didn't break out until he was almost 30. NE obviously wasn't the right fit for him. Or vice versa.

I did, thank you so much, my reply has been held back by things that I wanted to consider/think upon before formulating my following questions and the like. Either way what you sent was very helpful and I look forward to further correspondence. |

by latest I didn't really mean "most recent" but more so "furthest along" I suppose if we want to give it more of an exact example this player took X years to produce results worth of Y goal so you could say things like.. what's the likelihood that Jason Campbell could break out for the majority of the rest of his career, is there someone else that's been in his situation that's done it, etc |
