The Redskins have lost its greatest fan.
I know I don't post much on the board but visit often and love all the information I get here.
I just wanted to let everyone know my dad, S. Wayne Stump of Roanoke Va. passed away on 3/3/10 after a short a bout with cancer. He was 80 years old. He was a huge Redskins fan and his basment with all his memorabilia was called "Wayne's Wigwam". He taught me how to cheer them on as well as how to let loose a curse laden tirade. He bled burgundy and gold and anyone who knew him misses him. He was laid to rest with the 3 Super Bowl pendants he gave me a few years ago. Sundays won't be the same for me any more. A true fan to the end....he asked a few hours before he died "Andy, did Washington win today?" I said "yes dad, they kicked the Cowboy's ass. He smiled. Rest in peace dad. |
