the real world
so wtf is the deal with this show? it used to be good aboput 10 years ago, now it is god awful. my fiance watches it now because "it is in dc" i just don't get the whole mtv thing they churn out these ruh-tarded shows that have to biggest morons in the world on them and people tune in week in and week out and i don't understand why. i get the attraction to real reality tv like first 48, or competition shows like top chef, but wtf is the deal with this crap! maybe i'm the odd man out but i just don't get it!!!

Re: the real world
This one isn't really that bad. I mean what else could really go on? New Orleans and Seattle were great, I think those are the only two that I watched all/most of them though, maybe Hawaii too, whichever one that Ruth chick alch'd out on.
Most of why I started watching this one though was because it's in DC. |
Re: the real world
i hear ya... its pretty awful.
It was kind of funny, and hopefully isn't aired... but I actually went on a date with the blond chick (Callie). I met her at a bar, ... and we eventually went out and got sushi. It was kind of surreal, eating food and having a camera back and forth between you and your date. Luckily there was karaoke going on the 2nd half of our date, and mtv doesn't have the rights to all the songs they played, so they had to back out. Long story short, it was mad awkward and I just completely made an ass of myself. We ended up going back to the house, and I got a chance to meet the entire cast. The only person that I kind of got along with was the gay guy, he was a pretty down to earth, and actually seemed semi-rational. All in all, it was pretty uneventful and just ended up being a decent story to tell. Don't watch the show, it's terrible...but if I get on, I'll let eeerbody know. Maybe this belongs in drunk thread...but i'm over it. |
Re: the real world
Damn Rob, that's a pretty ridiculous story. Congrats for having game and putting it to bigtime use.

Re: the real world
This crap is still on TV? It is just plain bad TV. Rob nice story, did you meet her in a bar?

Re: the real world
rob, which girl? any pics?

Re: the real world
The show used to be good back in the day before it became a train wreck of getting wasted, hooking up, and getting in fights. For some reason this format is more entertaining with guidos doing it (Jersey Shore).

Yeah, Rock and Roll Hotel on Hst NE. Nice little place. I just bought her a shot, and we started talking. She obviously couldn't resist me... No, I think she just prob had to go on dates or something cause we went on one and I never heard from her again. I still cry myself to sleep every night. |
Re: the real world
So were there cameras following her when you met her? Must be odd to meet someone under those circumstances.
|
Re: the real world
Yeah, I actually had to meet her outside the place.
I had no clue camera's would be coming, so I really didn't know what to expect. One second I'm at the bar waiting for her to show, and the next I'm outside...camera's all around me... getting mic'd up. I literally was wearing a wire... it was weird. The worst was the cab ride back to the house. It was us in the back, and the camera guy in the front seat... just panning back and forth between us talking. I'm way awkward as it is, throw a camera in the mix and it's all over. She was actually a pretty cool chick, definitely didn't have the stereotypical "real world" vibe. She kept apologizing for the absurdity of the situation. |
Re: the real world
lol I can't imagine having a camera in your face on a date

I saw TTHS on the first Real World it was so staged it was crazy. |
Re: the real world
Now I know who watches that rubish.

Re: the real world
Did the girls wear a bron skirt type thing and a white shirt?
