JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker
@JasonLaCanfora Redskins among the team to inquire about Rams DT Adam Carriker. Coach Jim Haslett was in STL when Rams drafted him.

I think its great that we are grabbing guys that will help in the 3-4 but are we going to address any needs regarding the OL?

Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker
I liked him coming out of Nebraska. It seems like things never really took off for him St. Louis. Interesting.
I don't know about another injury prone DT though. |

Haha..he had a lot to prove in St. Louis when he got drafted. I believe that's one of the knocks on him, he really didn't seem motivated. |
Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker
I'll go on the record right now saying if signed, Carriker doesn't make the team.

Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker
I can't imagine both him and Carter here so one coming in means the other is going. I'd suspect

Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker
It's hard for me to imagine a scenario where Carter isn't here next year in some capacity, much easier to imagine a scenario where he just isn't as productive as last year.

I can't see them letting Carter go, after an eleven sack season, for a bum coming off injuries either. |
Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker
lol why wouldn't they be interested? To me this just seems like they want help the Rams make their decision on going with Suh or McCoy. Am I the only one?

Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker
What will it take to get him?

Exactly, he's not a FA, we'd have to trade for him. I don't like the move myself, unless we package up a few players and send it down for some picks/players. |

Well, assuming that's our plans.. Then exactly what plans do we have for fixing up our O-line? In this plans; we trade our 2nd round pick for Carriker (only because Rams drafted Carriker in 1st round and we don't have 3rd pick), Rams will draft Suh or McCoy and then Bradford falls down to us.. We draft him.. We then most likely won't be able to draft O-line starter material men in 4th round or later.. Not exactly good plans.. |

Carter for Carriker and a 4th rounder in addition would be my guess. |
Re: JLC: Redskins Interested in Adam Carriker
This kid has a whopping total of two sacks and about 50 tackles in three years, granted he was injured all of last year.
If --big IF--the Redskins bring him here, that means they've signed Nemo (who hasn't fully recovered yet) and Adam Carriker, who hasn't produced at all and has been injured twice in a very short career. A straight up trade, maybe. But I don't think they should throw any picks the Rams way. If anything it should be the other way around. |
