Re: 2010 NFL Undrafted Free Agents / and the teams
Can I just say that I love that Dallas has done little to upgrade it's line since cutting Flozell. I expected their UDFA's to be chocked full of OT.

Re: 2010 NFL Undrafted Free Agents / and the teams
I agree credskins, everyone is automatically putting Dallas as the favorite in the east.. Their oline is ancient, and honestly I think the dez Bryant pick was based purely on Jerry's ego! He drafts fame over team needs. Bryant could be a solid wr but they needed to upgrade other positions.

I agree. It would seem that JJ is pulling a Vinny with his OL. The OL is getting older before his eyes yet he has done little in response. They had better hope that Free is much better than he ever has been before. And, even then, what happens when someone gets hurt? I think Dallas' OL is going to be a real problem for them this year. |

JSU stands for Jacksonville State University.

Not to defend the Cowboys, but their brass ranked Bryant highest ever on their board, last time this happened, they passed on Moss, and Jerry was kicking himself, they didn't want to repeat history. Can't blame them when Roy Williams is doing nothing for them. Smart move really. |
Re: 2010 NFL Undrafted Free Agents / and the teams
i still think the 49ers struck oil with blount, i think he has what it takes to be a great rb, and now he has someven more to prove to all the doubters

Re: 2010 NFL Undrafted Free Agents / and the teams
Funny how we love to attack to the Cowboys, but fact is, they have been smarter than us overall for the past 2 decades. We have needs that weren't addressed, yet we have the fewest undrafted fa's of all the teams. Not saying we need more, but we certainly should have nabbed a few of the good ones before they were gone.

The man was overrated to start with, but he certainly has talent. I don't care what anyone says, any kid that takes a punch in front of a national audience is not right in the head. The 49ers took a very little chance signing him, but instantly brought in a guy that is a character problem. |
Re: 2010 NFL Undrafted Free Agents / and the teams
Surprised we haven't tried to sign Landolt from Penn St. Tanner would have been a nice grab also, but alas, he is now a Jet. Why the hell did we sign another DT? The FS from OSU was smart, but why another DT? Especially a guy with a "fuck lion" for a pet!!!!

he actually threw a punch. if no team ever took anyone with a character problem the nfl wouldn't exist. we did the same thing by bringing in lj if you wanna talk about character issues look no further the guy is a grade a douche bag, but he was/is a damn good rb |
Re: 2010 NFL Undrafted Free Agents / and the teams
I refuse to say that they have been smarter than us overall while Jerry has been the GM. They won 3 SB's riding the coat tails of what Jimmy Johnson did, and then went 13 years without a playoff win, including a 5-11 stint that was as ugly as our 4-12 year. Bill Parcells brought them to respectability, but JJ is taking them back the other way, and his hubris and overreaction will quickly bite them in the back. They traded a 1,3, and 5 for a WR that hasn't done anything and turned around and got another one when their other WR's stepped up. Meanwhile ignoring their line just like we did (or worse since they cut their PB LT while ours had an underlying medical that shortened his playing years by 2-3 probably). I am not saying we didn't have rough years, we did, but JJ will run the Cowboys into the dirt, unless his son Stephen prevents it. Long live JJ

I think you get the point, he took a swipe at someone ON THE FIELD, in front of a NATIONAL AUDIENCE. LJ does NOT compare to that...no way, no how. |

i guess we veiw guys that hit women a bit differently. and all i'm saying is sometimes you need to take those chances. be it drafting a tim tebow in the first round or signing a blount. he was/is a young kid and made a terrible decision and it cost him dearly. you have to keep in mind these are kids, they do dumb s, but you can't say he is gonna walk in there and destroy sf's locker room. |
