Drink or not to Drink
We have not had many fun threads in the parking lot for awhile. Thought I give it a shot with this one.
A generally rule in my office is Friday lunch is a liquid one. My Friday afternoons in the summer are just a complete waste and you need a little help getting through them. Anyone else partake? |
Re: Drink or not to Drink
I love having a cold one of Fridays, but not at lunch time!

Re: Drink or not to Drink
You mean drinking at the office or drinking during lunch break? Unfortunately our corporate culture heavily frowns upon it, nobody does it. But I've had a beer with lunch before. But (unfortunately) never enough to tie one on and make work more fun!

Re: Drink or not to Drink
Never drank at lunch and wouldn't want to. Similar kind of thing as Schneed.
However I did have to work on New Years Eve and we had beer in the office. Partook then. |
Re: Drink or not to Drink
The one time I drank at lunch I never made it back into the office and I lost my truck and somebody shot my dog. I was thinking of naming my boat "Cirrhosis Of The River".

That is what I kind of meant a beer or two. Not sloppy drunk. |

Are you in the process of naming a boat? at least 3 of your posts today dealt with a good name for a boat! |
Re: Drink or not to Drink
Serving in Germany, all the German civilian workers that drank (which was a ton of them) were able to have two beers at lunch at the cantina. Germany was a trip.

Actually I worked at Marriott for 10 years and when I was in DC my hotel was union and you were allowed two 12 ounce beers at lunch per union rules. |
Re: Drink or not to Drink
Wow, I didn't think we had that here anywhere

I adopted that rule my second year in service. I have abondoned it since I got out. |
Re: Drink or not to Drink
I work nights, but I love to day drink. I do it often. Like daily. More of a wine drinker.
At work, it's strictly shots. No cocktails for me. |
Re: Drink or not to Drink
I'm not a lunch drinker but by 5pm tonight I was mixing up a margarita

Re: Drink or not to Drink
No alcohol for me during work hours, I work in the public education sector. Back in my younger days installing telecom equipment in central offices I don't remember not being drunk.

Re: Drink or not to Drink
