Brunell Fantasy Football Notes (Skins-Bengals Matchup Index)
Direct from Yahoo player notes for fantasy football:
"He's been under 100 yards passing in three of the last four games, completed fewer than 10 passes in two of three, and hasn't completed anything longer than 23 yards since week four. Yes, he's terrible. No, you should never, ever use him." http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=fanball-preview-cinwas&prov=fanball&type=fantasy I know this is obvious fantasy football advice, but found it amusing since they are usually not that harsh when anaylzing the matchups. Check out the advice on Coles too. |
i've got a fantasy note on brunell too:
each nite i fantasize that gibbs will bench that nightmarish flop... so far, so bad |
Numbers don't lie. Get Brunnel OUT.

I have not heard anyone talk about how Ramsey may look bad in practice and thats why Gibbs has not made the change in QB. Ramsey look realy bad in preseason.

While this could be true, I just thing the general feeling is that there is no way he could be worse than Brunell. In addition, him stepping on the feild automatically makes the threat of a big passing play a possibility to other defensive teams. In addition, I think if we lose 2 more games, we should figure out if Ramsey is the guy THIS SEASON. That way, if he looks horrible, we dont have to go through another poor qb next year. |
I agree that we need to get Ramsey on the field this year so we can evaluate his abilities with Gibbs system. It will hurt if Gibbs waits for a couple more losses and Ramsey comes in and is successful. In the half he did play he moved the ball pretty effectiveley with about 150 yards the turnovers killed him.

And I think more than anything that's what is keeping Gibbs from being more willing to put Ramsey on the field. The crux behind Gibbs offensive philosophy is to minimize if not eliminate mistakes. He's not going to want to play Ramsey if he's not making sound decisions in the pocket regardless of how many yards he throws for. The year the Ravens won the SB, Trent Dilfer was not a numbers QB, but he kept the Ravens in games by not making dumb mistakes and creating turnovers. |
does anyone know anything out of redskins park? if ramsey's getting any snaps or what?

MARK IS THROWING TOO MANY PASSES AWAY AND IN MY OPINION IS PLAYING TO SAFE. i HEARD HIM SAY GIBBS IS THE FIRST COACH HE HAS PLAYED FOR TO THROW THE BALL AWAY WHEN IN DOUBT.

Come on guys don't believe this Ramsey bad in practice. There is almost no way that Ramsey could play worse that Brunnel. I mean brunnel has done nothing this year. So lets say Ramsey throws a pick here and there. At least he'll be a threat. Plus Ramsey is a gamer. Throw him in when the fire is hot and he will perform.

I agree. I hope we get to see Ramsey this week. If I watch Brunell pass for 75 yrds again I'll puke! :madani:

rod gardners qb rating is higher than either of them put him in.
