Springs Released
Patriots release veteran CB Shawn Springs - NFL - Yahoo! Sports
I think we should sign him to a 3-yr deal with a $10M signing bonus so he can play 3 games a year against the Lions, Rams, and Seahawks... |
Re: Springs Released
I think we should sign him...so that people can no longer say Albert Haynesworth is the only player skipping OTAs
|
Re: Springs Released
But how will it work with TO and Springs on the same team?

Re: Springs Released
Springs was past his prime when he was here the last time. He was old, slow, and more injury prone than CP.
He was one of my favorites here and a true redskin, but it hurt me to see his last couple seasons here, when he had lost more than a step... |
Re: Springs Released
he failed a physical recently
|
Re: Springs Released
I wonder if the Saints will give him a call?
|
Re: Springs Released
to fill in if Sharper isn't retained?
|
Re: Springs Released
Sharper is already coming back.
Just saying there's the Gregg Williams connection, perhaps he could find a spot for him there. |
Re: Springs Released
oh yeah, that happened a couple of weeks back right

Wish we could find some young corners that play great, but don't get too greedy come time to resign. |

Sharper already resigned with the Saints. |

The funny thing is, we need a starting free safety...I know Springs aint that...but it wouldn't suprise me if he ended up in a similar role somewhere (assuming he is in playing shape) The guy was one of my favorite defenders. He was pretty solid for us at corner all those years, I know he isn't the same guy anymore, but I still think the guy could play ball. I am suprised that he suposedly failed a physical (a link would be cool)...that is pretty bad for a DB...probably the kiss of death if true. |
Re: Springs Released
The defense Haslett wants to run doesn't make the distinction between free and strong. They're just supposed to cover their freaking area.
