[COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]I thought this was already a thread and I search several times but I couldn’t find it. Maybe I searched in the wrong forum, im still not sure if this belongs in The Parking Lot, Other Sports or Fantasy Football??? Please merge if need be. [/FONT][/COLOR]

[COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]So Coolidge High has a varsity female football (again NOT field hockey) coach on their hands. This is her first season, and her QB just transferred to Dunbar the day before practice started to play another position (where’s the Midol?). She’s only 30 years old, which is kind of young for a HS coach in my opinion, or waaaaayyy old for a unmarried female (she is “engaged”, however doesn’t have a date set). [/FONT][/COLOR]

[COLOR=black][FONT=Verdana]I personally think barefoot and pregger is the most complementary look on a women, something about it just gets me every time. However I view myself as very progressive and I am all for the female policemen, female congressmen, female doctor, female pilot, ect. But I don’t know how I would feel about playing for her. Do you think she will be seccessful? Over under 500?

Are you so angry because this is going to be a massive failure?

First game is tomorrow against Archbishop Carroll, ranked 10th among DC teams. Coolidge is 12th for the time being.

For what it's worth, I grew up a few blocks from Carroll so I got love for them too. But yeah, I'm angry as a mofo.

Yeah, I agree that was rather tasteless.


Also, I am not thinking she'll fail because of her race, gender...anything personal other than her resume and lack of experience. If she gets her players behind her in football terms...there won't be any issues at all because of her gender...but she's young and inexperienced.

We'll see. If she shocks the region and is a big success, I'll admit I was wrong and congratulate her, but the hiring, especially being in D.C., just appears to be more of a publicity/political-correctness stunt.
