Did Kareem change his number?
So last night I thought I saw a #41 on the field, but wasn't 100% sure. I record the games, so I went back and watched it tonight when I got bored and sure enough, there was a #41 on the field, Davis:

Last I checked we didn't cut him so I don't think its something where a player trying to make the team took it and I sure don't remember him selling it to another player. Didn't think I heard he was out for the season either, so how exactly is there another #41 on the team? Maybe I'm missing something, IDK. |
Re: Did Kareem change his number?
During preseason it's not uncommon for players to double up on numbers. Especially if one player is on offense and another is on defense.

Re: Did Kareem change his number?
Oh okay, didn't realize that. Makes sense I guess, first time I've ever seen this that I can remember.

Re: Did Kareem change his number?
There are 2 72s as well. Trent and a defensive player, I believe one of the NT, Bryant or Green.

Re: Did Kareem change his number?
Yeah I remember that now as well with 72.

Re: Did Kareem change his number?
Doug Dutch and Marcus Mason both shared #24 during the 2009 preseason.

Yes, there always a handful of numbers that are shared during the preseason. It happens every year. 80 players + Skins' unofficially retired #'s + NFL position numbering rules = numbers being shared. |
