How much more money will Dan Snyder be out of if he fires Shanahan and Haslett after one season? Is it worth it?

Why do we consistently suck Tony?

The Redskins Defense still has solid personnel for running a 4-3. Can you imagine a scenario where we run more packages from a 4-3 base?

Tony, why doesn't this team believe in rebuilding?

Thank you for taking our questions, Tony. The Skins defense has not yet stopped the run in seven games going back through the preseason. How can the run defense be made stronger?

Tony,

Is there a way to modify the defense, maybe a hybrid of a 4-3 and a 3-4 in order to fit present personnel? And, are you as confused as I am as to why Clinton Portis didn't play more than he did in the second half?

Re: Rams question for Tony McGee

I haven't re-watched the second half of the Rams game, however I'm sure I'll see the same things we've seen so far this season. Regarding the run game, I mentioned this several times last season and we're seeing the same thing again in 2010. When our run game struggles it's due to the Zone Blocking scheme not working for us. The LoS is getting re-established a yard or two backwards. When we run a more north/south style running game, we've been a bit more productive with some G pulls and basic ISOs/cutbacks. Two questions:

1) Why are the coaches who are "Zone Blocking" guys almost religious to this scheme, even if it isnt successful and doesn't fit the personnel.

2) If we are going to be a Zone Blocking team, one of the improtant factors in that scheme is the cut blocks. We've seen almost no cut blocking. Not only is cutting effective, but it puts hesitation and concern into the opposing DL. As a former DL, what are your thoughts on this?

As always, thank you for taking the time and giving us your perspective.

Greetings Tony,
It's really tough to watch garbage football like that..AND it must be tough to comment and try and search out answers regarding same. With that in mind I'll post no question today. I'll just say...THANX for doing it!

Tony, are you watching the Packers right now? 36 players on their 53 man roster were drafted by the PACKERS....Can you guess how many the redskins have? I'll tell you ... it's a LOT less than that!

When do you feel GM's will learn you need to build through the draft as opposed to signing free agents who will stop playing as soon as they've "made" it.

how many teams still have the same starting running back since 2004?.,...oh only one..us!
why must we continue you to view portis as a starting RB when he obviously has lost 3 steps.......and we wonder where our running game is!
