NFLPA Player reps have conference call at 8 pm tonight.
New CBA: *10 year deal, through 2020 season *Players receive 48% of revenue in first years of deal *$120 million salary cap; team minimum is 89% ($106.8M) as long as league spends 99% ($3.8B) *Veterans earn free agency after 4th season *4-year rookie contracts, with team option for 5th year *Lower rookie salaries, with cap on team spending for rookies *Later training camps, no more full-contact two-a-day practices *OTAs reduced from 14 to 9 |

Owners voted 31-0 in favor of the new CBA with the Oakland Raiders abstaining.

Saturday: Waivers begin for 2011 League Year Sunday: Clubs may begin to sign undrafted rookie free agents Wednesday: Free agency signing period begins August 9: Deadline for players under contract to report to their clubs August 11-15: First preseason weekend |

Say it ain't so Smoot. Players will catch a shit storm if they hold up this deal any longer I believe. They have to want to get back badly.

I agree. Enough is enough. The players need to sign the damn thing and put this crap to bed. |
