Our IT guy was just spouting off on this, he used to live in CA so he's like, I can't believe they are evacuating buildings and closing airports in NY, if this was CA it's not even news. |

Re: Earthquake in DC!
I'm in Stafford, Va. and usually get local rock quary setting off dynamite. Feels very similar so when it started I was sitting at computer thinking great here we go again, but it didn't stop. Thats when I thought uh oh and ran to a door way then when house sounded like it was going to come down I ran to front door in case I had to get out.

Re: Earthquake in DC!
So we felt the earthquake pretty up here in Baltimore. All the buildings were evacuated. Although I must say that I've felt stronger earthquakes before (I grew up in Ecuador), but it freaked me out a bit.
I'm sure this is nothing to the people on the west coast, but hey that's what happens when an area experiences something they typically don't get. I'm sure if L.A. or San Francisco got 5 inches of snow, the city would probably be shut down. |

The news did say though that had it hit Cali there probably would have been more damage because of the type of rock under the state vs. the rock all along the east coast and is why it was felt so far north. |
