Start John Beck Madness Thread
I don't think Shanny should yank Rex, I just wanted to get the silly thread going and out of the way.

Re: Start John Beck Madness Thread
Why not?

Re: Start John Beck Madness Thread
I agree. If the Ram defender could catch they would've had a pick 6. He just doesn't take care of the ball. I've seen enough of the guy. He's a nice back up but nothing more. Now with the bye they have two weeks to get Beck ready. Make the move.

Re: Start John Beck Madness Thread
Rex was responsible for one pick. All I want out of Rex is a game manager, but I don't think that KS' play calling is helping with that.
And what happens when we get Beck? We get another game manager. |
Re: Start John Beck Madness Thread
Pretty hard to bench your QB when you're 3-1, that's all I'm saying.
|
Re: Start John Beck Madness Thread
I think it needs to be taken into consideration at the minimum. I'm all for continuity but Rex almost single handled screwed us into at least a tie game. (Along with Moss. I know I know) Rams just sucked at offense and our defense is superb.
There's time to work out Rex's vision but.. He makes me extremely nervous as our QB. |
Re: Start John Beck Madness Thread
We r 3-1 but Rex isn't the reason, Try Beck why not?
|
Re: Start John Beck Madness Thread
Dumb idea. Even worse to even entertain the idea at 3-1.

I don't think Rex is that reason though. I think it's our running game and our defense keeping us in the game. Rexy is far more lucky than good. |
Re: Start John Beck Madness Thread
Before the justification to start Rex over Beck was sky high productivity seen during both the Giants game and second half against the Cards. We haven't seen that since the end of Week 2.

It's like any other position. You have to look at it on an a player by player basis. This win was in spite of Rex and last week wasn't much better. Besides worse comes to worse you can always go back to Rex. It's time to take advantage of not having to manage the ego of a big name QB. |

Because fans love to blame just players and not criticize coaches. |

Because he can't be any worse than Rexy. I mean honestly, both of these guys aren't starting material. It's not like going from Brady to JaMarcus Russell or anything. It's not gonna be a huge drop off. |
