Why in the world would the skins not want MB? That doesn't make much sense to me in fact they should want any of the top 3 QBs

SmootSmack 11-28-2011 10:53 PM

I think it was more that he wasn't one of their top choices. Or so I was told

Maybe Vinny is running the team again? Shanahan would be very stupid if Barkley was available and he didn't draft him.
The chargers will not trade rivers lmao wherever u heard that from they are high.. As for Barkley Id take him I'm tired of passing on QBs
Heard it the usual route..... "Heard it from a friend who, heard it from a friend who, heard it from friend ......."lol.

Actually several people. I didn't go checking into any situations but I figured that it was either being discussed on tv or radio today and figured maybe Rivers would be a FA possibly which might have been why people were talking about it. Otherwise your right no way the Chargers trade or cut him.

Last night I was talking with my Dad during which I told him that the Skins would pick around 15th if the season were to end today. He told me I was crazy, so I looked at the standings and sure enough the Skins were 13th to last in the standings and 14th after the Chiefs loss to Pitt. Now I'm not totally sure how that plays out in the draft but it can't be good.

We were 5th before the win on Sunday. Did we really lose that many spots?

Ok, so this source, or sources you get, what have they told you in the past, and how accurate % wise are they with the stuff they tell you?

All I know is they're listed on top of the 4 win teams in the league standings on ESPN. As of November 22 I saw them projected to pick in the 8th spot.

Can this shitty team do anything right? We're not going to the playoffs. What was the use of winning that game?

I don't think so. I would have figured we only lost a spot or two. I'm guessing we are around #7 now if we have not stayed in the same spot.

On another note.... Jack Del Rio FIRED!!!!!
I'm just going to put this out there. Browns apparently really want Barkley. Like they realllly want him.

Could be that they'd be willing to trade their 2 1st round picks to move up to get him.

So...say we have a shot to get Barkley...or we have a shot to trade down and get say a Landry Jones and a nother first round pick. Or maybe we get two 1st round non QBs and someone like a Nick Foles (as an example) at the top of the 2nd.

What do you do?
No deal. No more games...no more settling...I want the highest rated QB we can get our hands on and that's going to mean trading up not down.

I'm not 100% convinced the Skins are going to draft a QB.

Yeah, I agree.. This first round should be about doing what needs to be done to solve the QB position. Whether it's Barkley or RGIII (my preference) we need to be aggressive to make sure we get our man. I think we're going to end up in the pick 7-11 range so we may have to give up a #2 in 2013 and maybe a #3 in 2012 to get into the top 4-6 to get one of them. So what, make the move. We MUST solve this position next spring.

That being said, I'm SO GLAD we passed on Gabbert last draft. He looks skittish in the pocket and appears as if he's destined to be an average to below average QB. Bullet dodged.

What else would they do with their first round pick? Can you make a legitimate case for another position?
