Sammy Sosa traded to Baltimore
per ESPN News

Interesting. I was just about to post a CBS Sportsline story saying it was likely, but it looks you and ESPN have bigger news
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=1978241 From the O's perspective losing Hairston isn't that big a deal because Brian Roberts can play second and neither is losing Julio because they were looking to move BJ Ryan to the closer spot anyway, and Julio wanted a lot of money. Julio is apparently one of the other names rumored to be going to Chicago Sosa could enjoy a resurgence in the AL, but this almost seems like a desperation move for the Orioles who have done nothing in free agency this winter |
Hrm... Sosa is kind of a whiner. A bat corker too...

The O's needed a big name considering they missed out on the other big name FA's. They still need PITCHING.
