Dumbest Looking Helmet Logo
 

Reading the thread about the Cardinals' suttle logo change got me to thinking....
In the past few decades in the NFL...who has had the dumbest looking logo? I thought New England's old logo was pretty dumb lookin....and the Bucs old helmet as well! It was funny that when they changed their look, they started winning! LOL I thought the jets should have stuck with their uniforms of the 80's and 90's...the green helmet...

And I don't think the Giants have ever had a good lookin' helmet logo...maybe they should put the Jolly Green Giant on their helmet..you know..the guy from the green bean commericals! LOL

I'd say the dolphins, the packers, the browns, the 49ers, and the cowboys logo's r all kinda weak.

How bout we go team by team? It must be the offseason, LOL.

AFC East
Patriots- like em, I liked the old ones too but I think the change has been for the better
Jets- I like the retro look they have now much better than the all green helmets
Bills- not a big fan, not the worst but nothing special
Dolphins- hate em, I hate the colors, the logo, everything

AFC North
Steelers- classic
Ravens- thumbs down
Bengals- probably the worst in the league
Browns- classic

AFC South
Colts- classic look
Jags- not bad
Texans- nice modern look
Titans- so-so

AFC West
Chargers- classic, I really like the powder blues too
Broncos- hate the old look, hate the new look
Chiefs- classic but I was never a fan of that bright red
Raiders- all-time classic, one of the best

NFC East
Eagles- liked the old ones better, I really don't like it when they wear the black, too many teams have black
Giants- I like them better than the previous ones
Cowboys- hate them because they are the cowboys, but it is a clean, classic look
Skins- big fan, surprise surprise

NFC North
Packers- one of the best
Vikings-not a fan of the purple
Lions- nothing special
Bears- one of the best, love the dark blue and burnt orange

NFC South
Falcons-not bad, I really like the red jerseys
Saints- ugly
Panthers- nothing special
Bucs- I really like the pewter, the old orange ones were ugly as all hell but kinda classic at the same time

NFC West
Seahawks- not bad but I'm not a fan
Rams- same as above, better than the old bright blue and yellow though
Cards- bad logo and bad uniforms, hopefully the new ones can improve
49ers- one of the better ones in the league

I sort of like those old school Lions helmets with no logo at all that they wear sometimes on Thanksgiving I think.

I think the new Broncos is one of the worst

Hey thanks for that site! I didn't realize there were so many variations of the Giants' helmet.

You know...browsing around that site...some changes were so minimum, that I didn't notice...like the Saints' helmet logo...

The old Bronco helmets get my vote.

Matty, you've got it down pretty well. I agee that the Bengals helmets are pretty strange, took some getting used to but they're definitely better than their old ones (browns helmets with the word Bengals on them). They really sucked!!!
One of the worst- the old Ravens helmets- awful. The new ones look like the magpies (if you're old enough to remember those cartoons like I am!!!) Loved the cartoons, hate the Ravens!!
I also hate the Eagles but the helmets they have now are much better than old white with green wings, UGLY!!!!
Don't ever change the Raiders Uni's. They're the bad boys of the NFL and have the uniforms to match.
Of course the Skins have the best helmet and colors there are. I like the different uniform sets they use too. Would like to see the retros once or twice a year along with the all white occasionally too.

The Dolphins get my vote all the way. I won't go into the homosexual undertones, I'll just say I don't want a "smart fish" as my mascot.

I like the Bengals helmets myself.

I really think the Browns have the worst uniforms in football. They don't even have a logo!

I kind of like the current Bengals helmet too...I mean its better than the orange helmet that just says Bengals on the side. I'm not so sure about those jerseys though!

And if they are the Clevand Browns, then why have an Orange helmet?

its not pro's or even D-1 but umbc's mascot is a retriever. and salisbury's is a seagull

The browns have brown shirts. The redskins dont wear red, they wear burgandy so shouldnt they be called the burgandy skins?

An interesting fact is that both of Baltimore's major sports teams were originally called the Browns.

I think the Browns are a very close second. Can you imagine a creative team sitting around throwing out ideas for the "new" Cleveland team name and one of them is like, "How about the Browns?" and the rest of them are like "Genius, pure genius."
