Walt Harris Signs deal
ESPN is reporting that Walt Harris has signed a 3 year deal. This is good, but it also says he just had surgery to reattatch a tendon....man we sure do know how to pick em.

Not when you consider Williams likes to use 5 DB sets |
True, Matty.

Definitely, and I really don't think we'd sign someone unless we thought they'd be able to play. Bring on TO and KJ!!!!

March 19, 2004 11:20 AM ET Redskins: Gibbs shops at the corner store The News One day after inking cornerback Ralph Brown to a two-year, $1.4 million deal, the Redskins signed cornerback Walt Harris to a three-year contract. Harris played in all 16 games for the Colts in 2003, but he did not record an interception. The eight-year veteran struggled due to tendonitis in his right knee. Brown and Harris will battle with Rashad Bauman for playing time behind starters Fred Smoot and Shawn Springs. "All good teams need corners," Bauman told the Washington Post. "From what I hear, [Assistant head coach of defense Gregg Williams] uses four corners all the time. The competition is going to be exciting." Our View The Redskins will obviously have a tough time making up for the loss of Champ Bailey, but secondary depth will help. If both Brown and Harris are over last season's injuries, Williams should be able to do some creative things with his secondary. |
