Paging all doctors
I need a doctor's opinion, so naturally my first inclination was to come here. Now I know I'm not a doctor, but I have stayed at a Holiday Inn before, so I am somewhat qualified. Hear me out: If I hock a loogie and it has blood in it, am I correct in presuming something's wrong?
Also, a little backstory, if I have a bloody nose as a result of this dry season my area is in the midst of, and then I hock a bloody loogie immediately afterward, can I chalk said bloody loogie up to allergy season? |
Re: Paging all doctors
JMO.......but things that are a "one Shot deal", I usually don't get to concerned about as.....they do not repeat. IF it repeats, (and is not obviously innocent) I would consider a visit to my local......Shaman.

Oh man, not only do you need a doctor you need an ENT. I'm guessing you don't have health insurance and if you do it has a high deductible?

Re: Paging all doctors
it could be no big deal but if it persists i would go to the doc and check it out

How'd you know?! :D Also, what if the problem persists every dry season, be it winter or summer? Is there a corrolation between dry season, allergies (such as dry nasal passages caused by heavy pollen in the area) and bloody noses? Is it true dehumidifiers put moisture in the air that helps correcting said issues? Am I asking these questions for no reason? Are you truly medically qualified? Have you stayed a hotel equal to or greater than a Holiday Inn? And why should I listen to you over Web MD? They didn't earn that MD at the end of their name just by starting a website founded with that name. |
Re: Paging all doctors
Bloody noses aren't uncommon in dry weather. I tend to get them in the winter.
Try using some saline nasal spray. |
Re: Paging all doctors
Probably just seasonal dryness. Go snort some coke, it'll sort itself out.

Re: Paging all doctors
Every time I hear about someone that has this problem they usually die within eight days.

Probably the most sound advice I've heard all day. |

Re: Paging all doctors
Ok so new question, I'm experiencing an elevated heartbeat along with plenty of adrenaline pumping through my veins right now. Friends tell me this might be because of recently watching the Caps almost blow a 2 goal lead and lose this game in the best of 7 playoff series they're in right now. What do all you Warpath MD's think?

Re: Paging all doctors
Drink til you pass out in your own vomit...that'll slow your heart down.

Re: Paging all doctors
You just can't argue with home remedies passed down through the ages.....
