The single best athlete I've ever seen play sports. I have to say it was a pleasure watching this guy play, and I was fortunate enough to watch some of those memorable games he played. Especially the MNF against the Seahawks where he ran 91 yds for a TD, and then later ran over Brian Bosworth for a TD.

The hip injury really was unfortunate. He had freakish athletic ability. That kind of sentiment gets tossed around a lot nowadays but in is case it was so true. The size and speed were ridiculous. Like Lebron is to badketball....only moreso.

Honestly, my reaction to seeing this thread title was "there is no way that Bo Jackson isn't already 60."

Then I thought about it and realized that I have no concept of when Bo Jackson played.

I saw him strike out four times in a game in Yankee Stadium many, many years ago, and then the roar of the crowd that immediately followed the fourth K was silenced by a Steve Balboni home run.

Putting that aside, hats off to Bo for being such a superior athlete. Few MNF plays are more historically notable than his steam-rolling of Bosworth at the goal line. Should be an interesting 30 for 30.

Of the list of soon-to-be 50s, I'd say Matthew Broderick is the least surprising. Despite his perpetually young-looking face, he just seemed like an older dude in Election, and that was what--15 year ago?
