Re: Story about possible move
I think the FBI should throw in some draft picks too. Seriously a new stadium where RFK used to be would be pretty cool I would think.

Re: Story about possible move
I wouldn't mind seeing the Skins back in DC. And call me crazy, but I kinda want them to build a dome like Arizona's or Jerrah World (minus the stupidity in Cowpukes Stadium).

Re: Story about possible move
I dunno about a dome but field turf is definitely in order.

Re: Story about possible move
^ isn't field turf the turf that gives all these players the most ACL injuries and lisfranc injuries....?
As for the move, I'd love it. We're the WASHINGTON REDSKINS yet we actually have nothing to do with DC. We practice in VA and play in Maryland. There needs to be a DC stadium. And yes, I agree, we should get a dome like AZ or Dallas, because that will get you a super bowl host site. And you can leave it open for whatever elements, if need be. |
Re: Story about possible move
Only if Snyder pays for the new stadium and all utilities infrastructure costs himself.
I am tired of tax payers paying for new stadiums or even infrastructure costs for the NFL owners. The $9 billions dollar a year NFL needs to start paying for their own shit. Especially to abandon a perfectly good stadium and build a new one just to shits and giggles. Wasteful at a time when cutting out waste from the swollen federal budget is needed. Cut the shit! |
Re: Story about possible move
Stay at FedEx. Is a nice modern stadium. Who cares if the stadium isn't in DC itself. A lot of nfl teams are located in different cities/states than their team names indicate.

Re: Story about possible move
Doesn't Fedex really suck acoustic wise? I think the best part about moving to DC would be building a stadium that really gives us a huge home field advantage...ie SEATTLE!

Well, to be like Seattle, all the Skins have to do is install big speakers. I can't imagine the FBI moving to PG County. I have to believe that Fairfax County is the desired location, for everyone involved. The RFI that prompted all of this chatter says that the location must be >55 acres and within a mile of a Metro stop. |

No thanks on the field turf. Football is supposed to be played on natural grass. |
Re: Story about possible move
If this happens, which I highly doubt, the new stadium will be a dome. It's the only way we'll get a Super Bowl in DC.
|
That would work for me.

Not sure if Snyder would be okay with that. |
I dunno about a dome but field turf is definitely in order.
FIELD TURF sucks!Take it for what it is worth more players getting hurt from the turf then from hits!As for playing in DC they never should have left, the deal JKC struck with PG county will keep the Skins there fore at least 10 more years, remember PG paid for the infrastucture all around the stadium and the Beltway and they just brought metro out there, the way I understand it if they leave early it must all be paid back.2nd question is what do you do with Fed Ex,with the cost of a new stadium and this ,even Dan Snyder doesn't have the money.

FedEx is only 6 miles east of RFK. Not sure 6 miles would really make that much of a difference... |
