Re: Questions for Gibbs
What are his feelings on why Brunell struggled so mightily last year and does he think Brunell can over come them if he is called on this year should Ramsey struggle or get hurt.

Re: Questions for Gibbs
WeWhite, personally I'd like to know more about the whole Smoot deal. Being as how he was a fan favorite and locker room guy, played with heart and dedication. I especially want to know if it was true that we withdrew our offer for him when more and more CBs started going off the market. I'm also curious if he feels that since Springs played better and Smoot doesn't deserve to make more than him, why weren't they willing to give Pierce Barrow money? There are plenty of examples of people who are getting paid more than someone on the team outplaying them. It's the name of the game.
I'm also curious why he feels it necessary to pay an unproven WR that we essentially paid 9M dollars just to get #1 talent even though he was about to be demoted to 3rd on the Jets depth chart and has yet to play a down in Washington to a number 1 deal. Why are we willing to break a bank for a guy who's mediocre talented, and once his speed is gone his team contributions will soon follow; yet we seem unwilling to keep our own guys in town. If we get a real receiver in here, using Gibbs standards about paying the better player more, what does that mean for the other receiver? I'm also curious what he thinks of Spurrier as a coach. |
Re: Questions for Gibbs
I'd like to know how Coach Gibb's plans to jump start the passing game this season...? Will he try using more routes or more WR schemes...?

Re: Questions for Gibbs
Ask him if he's fighting his guts out this offseason, LOL
I like all the little sayings he has, guys are always courageous, fighting their guts out, etc. |
Re: Questions for Gibbs
wewhite - what ever you ask, make him squirm! Ask a question that requires a real answer, and may be tough to answer! Don't let him weasel out either!

Re: Questions for Gibbs
You do Matty? I got really sick of it considering Brunell must have more guts than anyone I've ever seen. That and his scary laugh!
|
Re: Questions for Gibbs
He loves any type of "guts" reference.
|
Re: Questions for Gibbs
Ask him if he knows who Darknerian is.
|
Re: Questions for Gibbs
His laugh is a little weird but it's also endearing in a way.
Personally I could listen to him talk all day. Whenever I hear him in a press conference it always makes me want to put on a helmet and run through a wall. |
Re: Questions for Gibbs
At least you remember the helmet!
Personally, he never tells anything at press conferences. Everything he says is either dodging the question or not quite the truth as he sees it. That's why we love analyst. They tell it how they see it, even if they're wrong more than right. |
Re: Questions for Gibbs
Ask him if he thinks Ray Lewis is overrated! Ok, sorry I shouldn't have gone there again. I take that back

Re: Questions for Gibbs
Any questions about the upcoming draft would be nice. Specifically, are they looking at maybe moving up (to secure the #1 WR or #1 CB), or moving down (to aquire a 2nd-rounder) with the pick?

I'm a Spurrier fan (still) but "I guess I've just gotta coach 'em up a little more" is not exactly substantive criticism. |
Re: Questions for Gibbs
Gibbs will never open up to the media the way we may want him to. To say he plays things close to the vest is a huge understatement. He doesn't do his dirty laundry in public and he deals with everything internally. The team is more apt to respect you when you don't call them out in public, and it creates a sense of unity, us against the world type of mentality.
