Hall of Fame Finalists 2014

Enshrinement » Class of 2014 finalists revealed

Morten Andersen, Jerome Bettis, Derrick Brooks, Tim Brown, Edward J. Debartolo, Jr., Tony Dungy, Kevin Greene, Ray Guy, Charles Haley, Marvin Harrison, Claude Humphrey, Walter Jones, John Lynch, Andre Reed, Will Shields, Michael Strahan, Aeneas Williams.

Some slam dunks in there: Marvin Harrison, Walter Jones, Michael Strahan...Hoping Ray Guy makes it.

Derrick Brooks should be a slam dunk as well. I also hope Ray Guy makes it.

Ray Guy and Morten Andersen are my faves on that list.

God there is a backlog of HoF candidates. Is there any reason Tim Brown isn't in already?

And I don't see how you can pass up on Andre Reed either. They voted Micheal Irving in and the only stat he lead in was arrests.

Brown will eventually make it, since his numbers are to good to keep him out of the Hall. 6th all time in receiving yards, 5th all time in catches, 7th all time in TD catches, 9 Pro Bowls, and a spot on the 1990s all-decade team. He's definitely deserving.

Kelly and Thomas should be welcoming reed in

Too many quality names on the list to knock one of them out for a kicker IMO.

Even Andersen? Or are you referring to Ray Guy?

Same here, they need to stay far far away

No Joe Jacoby, Charles Mann, or Mo Elewonibi. What a travesty.

Travesty indeed especially for Mann.

Poor Ray Guy goes to the Alumni House bar here every year on announcement day, waiting to hear his name called while local news cameras await. It has become pathetic. Please take Guy out of his misery and put him in the Hall.

Both.

Kickers are on the field for a handful of times per game. Hard to justify putting one of them in.

True, but these two are the greatest ever at their positions. And Andersen is the NFL's all-time leading scorer. They're just as worthy as most of the names on that list.
