The Super Bowl Thread

I'm pulling for Peyton and the Broncos to defeat the Seahawks in New Jersey.

My prediction is:

Broncos 27
Seahawks 17

MVP: Manning, of course. Who else!?

Nice MVP pick, would be surprising but possible. He's been solid and probably overlooked this year.

I understand what your saying, but IMO Wilson can actually QB Dilfer just happened to be in the right place at the right time.

Wilson is way better than Dilfer was, but he's not the main focus on this team so I see the comparison.

I hope it snows 12" during the game. All Super Bowls should be played in fun, warm weather locations such as New Orleans, Miami, and San Diego. No Super Bowl should ever be played in a wintry New Jersey swamp.

Shockers of the day - Manning throws 2 picks. Wilson throws under 125 yds, but no picks.

MVP Marshawn Lynch, or defensive player that picks Manning 2 times

My wishful thinking prediction:

Broncos 37
Seattle 23

I hope Manning lights up Sherman for 3 of those TDs.

Seahawks shut down the Broncos running game and Manning. Seahawks win 1st SB.

Re: The Super Bowl Thread

Manning MVP, and then he will announce he is retiring, leaving folks to wonder whether anyone in the history of sport has ever gone out like this. Setting single season records for yards, TDs, winning the Superbowl, and being the Superbowl MVP would be impossible to top.

Wonder what it is like having a QB like that. I hope we find out starting in September and that RGIII plays with the biggest chip ever.

Re: The Super Bowl Thread

Pulling for my boy R Wilson. Seattle defense holds denver to 17 points and Denver's secondary allows Wilson to throw for 287 yards and two TDs while running for one and 87 yards. Beat mode throws in 2 TDs of his own for a 28-17 Seattle victory. Russell Wilson MVP.

RedskinRat 01-24-2014 10:45 AM

Seattle, with Sherman making people grasp their pearls and swoon. NFC!

What section did your son get you into at the big game? You've done a fine job raising that boy.

Sherman doesn't have a lot of class (his post-game rant was just silly), but there's no denying the talent. This video impressed me -- wish our secondary had some of this: Darrelle Revis: Richard Sherman all 'me, me, me, me' - NFL.com

I think it will be a close, hard fought game, but Denver just has too many weapons.

Manning wins MVP and comes back next year to go for the repeat.

i agree with this ... though i do hope the seahawks lose and a bronco insists on smiling in shermans face and high fiving him the moment the seahwks last chance evaporates. ya know "good game good game!"

yeah he def isnt a thug .. but a big time self promoting classless a hole ...

hes pretty much the nfl version of kanye west.

trent is a straight thug though. lol

i was walking a second line in central city (which is very thug) and a guy in front of me had a shirt that said on the back:

"I love me some me" - Adam Pacman Jones.

i really liked that shirt. made me think - whats so wrong with a dude loving himself in a positive manner? besides the whole ordering murderers and paralyzing people and punching women in the face ... pacman is kinda growing on me a little bit. i mean, i love me some me too.

Re: The Super Bowl Thread

as a fan who will watch this SB and probably every one thereafter on my couch, i like that the SB is not limited to a handful of NFL cities.

i think if the giants or jets were in this SB they would have a huge advantage. So why should the saints, cowboys, bucs, chargers etc be the only teams that have a chance of home field advantage in the SB?

i dont see potential bad weather as a bad thing for the game itself. .. but thats skins v chiefs game this year was truly hampered and compromised bc of the weather.

but i understand the need for nice weather given logistics and mass invasion of people that descend on a super bowl host city.

if the giants and mara could get the SB in an open cold weather stadium bc they opened a new stadium the skins should sure as hell get the same opportunity.

a heartfelt eff u to mara you POS old wrinkled withering fuck of a bag of bones.
