Preseason week 2

Eagles have 7 guys sitting out with hamstrings. I just keep hearing about Chip Kelly's sport science and yet no mention of that.

Also 10+ minutes into the game and the eagles have run one offensive play ( resulted in a fumble) . Its preseason but I hate the eagles so I like it!

Sorry 6 with hamstrings but a slew out.
Eagles out tonight: Cooper, Maclin, Carroll, Polk, Watkins, Tucker, Fluellen, Knott and Vandervelde

If they are going to call the penalties like this a few of the defensive penalties shouldn't be automatic first downs any more

Eh I'll chalk it up to preseason. Injuries in Preseason don't carry nearly the same weight. For example.

Scenario: Player X gets Papercut in Preseason:
Trainer: OMGWTFBBQ! You don't move we will get the ambo out here ASAP! Stay with me man stay with me!

Scenario: Player X gets arm cut off during season:
Trainer: Coach his arm got severed from his body and he's lost consciousness after loosing too much blood.
Coach: Can he play?
Trainer: What?
Coach: CAN...HE...PLAY!?!?!

one thing is for sure, the Sheagles uniforms are super ugly with the pattern there.

R Griffin is tied for the Week 2 lead in passing TD's with 2. That's right kids the Saints stud QB Ryan Griffin from Tulane is among this weeks top performers.

Tom Terrific? How about Teddy Terrific? He looked pretty good tonight.

Yeah, yeah, I stole that from NFL.com. Sue me. :D

Edit: Oh yeah, forgot to add that I'm loving the Cowboys' defense so far. Looking good.

Touchdown Teddy looked pretty damn good, hes got some nice footwork.
And whoaa, Clowney has some wheels....we're gonna need an extra body back there to keep him off Griffin.

I'm pretty confident that Trent Williams will be able to block him consistently.

If Clowney or Watt lines up on the other side though...

I've turned a couple of the games off as it seems like flags are being thrown on every single play. It's unwatchable. We're going to see 4 hour games with arena league type of scores because the defenders can't do anything. Hopefully when the real games start this madness will stop.

I agree, unwatchable is the word. This is exactly what the NFL wants, more scoring. PFFF. At this rate, even as a big of an NFL fan as I am, if they keep doing this BS it'll be a 2 hand touch league and I will refuse to watch anymore. Goodell just can't leave well enough alone. The longer extra points are absolutley killing me too, I would just go for 2 every damn time. I hope they stop this or they're going to lose in the long run.

I don't mind the longer extra points. Raiders won a game based on that. If its automatic then do away with it and have an option to run a play for + or - 1 point.

What does Goodell have to do with the penalty issue? That is the competition committee and owners who voted on it, not Goodell. I don't know that he even commented on it.

I hate the long extra points! They should not determine the outcome of games. The only reason I didn't hate the shorter extra points was because they were practically automatic and they seldom determined the outcome of a game.

Picture this: Two teams struggle back and forth in terrible weather in a painful, bloody mess of a game and then it is decided by a guy in a clean uniform making or missing a long extra point kick. Something is wrong about that. It doesn't seem fair to the losing players who fought all game long.

But I'm not an NFL owner who is used to getting the benefits of someone else doing his dirty work. So, I guess it seems fine to the owners that the guy with the clean uniform (or the one in the owner's box) gets the credit for winning the game.
