NFL hands out compensatory draft picks

Don't worry, we're not on the list. The Eagles were awarded 4 extra picks!

Why exactly are they getting these picks?

Read the nfl.com item - if a team loses more or better FA's than they get, they get compensatory picks. There's some mad scientist somewhere in NFL HQ working out who gets what! :)

We'll basically never receive any of these picks with the way Snyder and company run this show!

It amazes me that the Eagles always get these picks. How can their talent level be measurably worse (4 picks worth) than the previous year if they played in the championship game? It's a huge scam.

Simple, they always lose more FA's than they sign.

I think its stupid, personally. Why should one team get them compared to another? How do they figure out this crap? I mean four picks?? Granted they are late and realy dont matter ALL that much, but still I just dont like the whole concept

Remember!

It is not for actions this year, it is for last year's FA period! The iggles, up until Kearse/TO do not normally delve into the FA market to pick up former 1st, 2nd, or 3rd rounders (or very many later rounders). Everything is dependant on where the FA was originally drafted.
