Keenum - Week 1 Starter
Thoughts? Think Haskins starts at some point this year?
Went with the safe option and I'm ok with it. |
Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter
So far Keenum has been the better QB and provides the team a chance to win while Haskins matures. This is a very good team, putting Haskins there right now is too risky, maybe by mid season. I bet Keenum will have short leash on him.

Wake me up when Haskins gets in there Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter
It is what it is, Jay needs the vet QB to run his offense. If things go south Haskins will b in there

In other news, grass is green and the sky is blue.

There wasn't a competition. I can't wait for Gruden to get his ass out of here.

Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter
Not surprised. Just wasting time with Keenum. He didn't do anything to actually win the job. They're starting him cause he's played more games.

Schwartz would literally kill him blitzing from everywhere with two weeks to prepare. That's a difficult, pressure based defense to play against for veterans. It's the right move. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk |

Will Haskins play in the last preseason game?

He should definitely play in the last preseason game, why not?

Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter
Yeah, this is no surprise. Case's experience will potentially net a few more wins this year, especially early on. However, I don't expect him to start more games than Haskins over the course of the entire year.

Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter
Def want him out there the first 5 games

But sooner or later this team will collapse just like they do every year. |
Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter
While not excited by this "news", I have no issue with it as itself.
I have an issue with it being announced so early though. One of the slight advantage we had over Philly in this game is they didn't know which QB to game plan for. Now they do. There are only 16 games in an NFL season, how you can throw away a small thing that could even slightly help you win one is beyond me. |
Re: Keenum - Week 1 Starter
How much better place are we when the debate is between a QB that led a team to nfc championship few years ago and a rookie that has a huge chance to be a long term answer at the position!! My worst fear is throwing The rook to the wolves behind a sketchy OL and him getting hurt and a big set back.. we will know after the real games start what we have in Case .. if he sucks then maybe Haskins .. but I’m with a lot of you who agree with starting Case with that tough starting schedule..
