Chargers at WFT GameDay thread

FINALLY!!!

GAMEDAY IS HERE!!

I am so excited for this game, I want to see Fitzmagic take down the Bolts. A few back shoulder bombs to Brown and McLaurin. Hitting Logan in the seam, and seeing Gibson breaking out for 20+ yard runs.

Then seeing Ionnaidis and Payne barreling through the middle of their line and Chase getting his first strip sack of the year.

My koolaid laden gut is fixated on 41 -10, but realism dictates a 21 -17 nail biting win.

LETS GO TEAM!
HTTR!

The spread…I smoked a pork butt 10 hours yesterday, homemade Cole slaw, chips and guac. Hardywood great return IPA and ice cold Heineken.

Washington inactives: TE Sammis Reyes, OT Saahdiq Charles, QB Kyle Allen, DE Shaka Toney, CB Darryl Roberts. There are no surprises here. Even without Reyes, Washington still has three tight ends active: Logan Thomas, Ricky Seals-Jones and John Bates

I really dislike the Moreland move if Darryl roberts is gonna be an inactive

What up guys! Ya lady’s back.

Excited to see what this year brings. I wanna see some heart and a couple of big plays. Really wanna see Fitz and Rivera pull out the stops today.

Game time getting close, I hope this team does not pull the old floparoo. All the offseason excitement poured into 60 minutes of football. I can take a close loss, I can't take a blowout loss. BUT I want the type of win that justifies Koolaid fountains flowing in my front yard!

It's the worst part of week 1.

All the unbridled optimism and fantasy of thinking your team can be dominant right out of the gate - even though that rarely happens in the NFL. The parity in between teams means more often than not every week is going to be a close battle - except when you're a well established dominant team like the 07 Patriots matching up against a clearly not-on-their-level DC team. When you factor in this team's long history of slow starts I see no reason to think it won't continue.

In the end I hope the best parts of our team live up to the hype and we get surprised enough on offense to pull off the win. I also hope we as fans aren't disappointed when our team isn't as strong out of the gate as we expect them to be.

I know the Chargers have an awesome QB, and strong skill positions. The defense has to show up and make a statement for the league to hear. The offense, I just don't want it to suck.

8 minutes and counting! This marks my 30th year as a fan. Started getting really into sports other than baseball when I was 10. I watched the year before....but really remember watching every game I could the super bowl year. And since the year after that, I can't remember being this excited for a season. I feel like these guys got the juice.
Here's a hearty and heart felt HAIL!

I see a lot of chargers fans on the TV screen. WFT has to win consistently to rebuild this fan base.

Prediction:

Defense will look good.

Offense will stink again.

Odds aren't in favor of teams traveling across country for games so at least we got that going for us. Need a win to start the season.
