Pro Bowl Thread - Tress, Reaves, and Allen Selected

Tress, Reaves, and Allen selected as starters. Terry also selected at WR (but not a starter).

Also, here's Coach Rivera letting Reaves know about his selection. I teared up watching this:

Re: Pro Bowl Thread - Tress, Reaves, and Allen Selected

Hurts not seeing Terry get the respect he deserves. I was hoping he'd make it but the NFC is deep at WR. Really hope we can get a quality qb next year that will put him in position to make plays - I don't know why Scott Turner doesn't run the offense through the playmakers.

Congrats to Allen/Way/Reaves - tbh I'm surprised at Reaves selection because normally that goes to some big name STer. Happy to see Way and Allen get recognized. Love that video of Ron telling Reaves - that's some feel good shit right there. Happy to see Tress showing him some love too.

Terry is NOT an alternate, he is just not the starter. the other three are starters.

Also Payne is a 1st alternate, so if one guy drops out he is up

M.Sweat is a second alternate

Not an alternate, just a reserve. Glad to see him get some love too.

Yes, given who he has throwing (?) the ball to him it is a minor miracle that Terry puts up the stats he does. He is not near the top 10 in some categories and when it comes to fan voting and talking heads on TV they only care about stats.

Thanks for catching that about Terry. I'll go ahead and fix that on my post.

Best thing I’ve seen from this team in over a decade if not longer.

Rivera off the field is way better than his head coaching on gameday.

All those guys look like they loved Rivera in those clips. That stuff matters. Maybe he's better than I think he is. Still shouldn't be GM tho. No coach should ever be GM too.

This may be an unpopular opinion, but it is hard for me to completely judge Ron with Dan as the owner. Even things like Dan influencing the decision to trade for Wentz is an example of how much Dan's interference with football matters can affect the football side of things.

Rivera frustrates the hell out of me. But we're also 7-6-1 with a QB that can't function behind this OL and a QB that shouldn't be a NFL starter. And then a OL that can't pass block a wet napkin. But if you can't blame Rivera the coach, you have to look at the GM. Unfortunately, it's the same guy.

But I agree about Snyder. He is a permanent dark cloud over being successful. We've had lots of coaches and players, but 0 sustained success. As long as he's around, seasons like this year are our ceiling. We're so far removed from the glory days that this is a fun season.
