Unofficial New Era Thread - Week 2 v Giants
 

So the official opening didn't start very well but let's call this The Unofficial opening of the new era . Putting away the Demons of the past against the Giants and coming out fresh Lessons Learned ready to actually start winning in this league. For that to happen they can't have the misuse and the miscommunications that happened last week. They can't let Daniel Jones run on breakdown plays. And by god they can't let the receivers run free. I do think that we have a coaching staff at least on the defense that will understand what happened and can make corrections. Whether that can happen in 5 days I don't know. But if we make the giants look like playoff contenders I will be sick to my stomach.

I can't adequately put into words how much I dislike Danny Jones. And we have no room to talk any kinda shit about how dumb the Giants are for extending him considering this motherfucker is 5-1 against us. Key is our D. We need to run on the Giants D because their pass rush is their strength. Hopefully JD can generate some passing yardage anyway, but run teh ball and steer clear of turnovers and we should be OK.

But the D MUST stand up and be counted. Stop jones passing and running and we can definitely win this. But if Tranny gets 60+ yards rushing and doesn't throw picks it could be a long day at the office.

Get right game…for us

JD seems like a quick learner and coachable…I think he makes the WOW plays which we’re missing last week. He hits a couple big passes.

Defense can’t play that well on 1st down and not see results. We wake up with better play in the secondary and on 3rd down.

I'm really nervous about this game. I understand this is a rebuild but I'm not ready to punt the season just yet. The rebuild is already underway with something like 11 new starters, this is not last year's team. But another performance like that in a loss and the season is over. Again. In September.

We need to win this game and get JD and the personnel/staff some confidence. I honestly believe this game is a must win. Where else are any wins going to come with this schedule? Need to win this. I'm not sure Tranny has our number. I think Dabol had Rivera and Del Rio's number. The D needs more parts to fix what's wrong but it should be good enough to contain Tranny and force him to work from the pocket so...

I wasn’t going into this season thinking we had a playoff team,BUT there are zero excuses for us to lose to the Giants today.If we lose to the gmen today,will just seem like the same old Snyder skins to me

Man...I love how dynamic this can seems like he can be....but I hold my breath every time I see him take off. Too many runs diving head first, and he's gonna get annihilated at some point. At least it looks like he tightened up those straps on his helmet
