Hope for the best and expect the worst Chiefs pre-game
 

Not sure why I am doing this because I am so down on this team right now, but stranger things have happened right?
All off season I could not wait for this game. Prime time against one of the league’s best. We were going to show the world we were really back!
Now I am wondering if this team was built on a house of cards, and if AP is the guy (and Quinn, KK, and Whitt for that matter).
That being said, maybe it isn’t that bad, and tonight is our chance to show the world just that?

Yeah, I'm afraid this will turn out to be ugly game for us.. I probably will watch in the beginning, just to see if we even have a chance.

We're getting steam-rolled tonight. Need to find a way to beat Seattle and Detroit at home.

Our defense stinks and our QB can't stay healthy. This season is looking like a bust.

I am more concerned about the future in general as opposed to this season. I mean I guess last year was a fluke? Yes injury bug but it should not result in us going from one game to the superbowl to getting blown out, should it? I am really wondering if AP is going about things the right way. Drafting, and building a team, or is he just trying to capitalize on what Jayden did last year with a patchwork team and looking for that one hit wonder type of a year?

Using OverTheCap we have the 5th most cap-space next year. So hopefully we can sign a couple impact defenders, then trade down in the 1st round. We need more picks.

I think we can still be on good foundation if the defense can be upgraded.

I'm a glass half full kind of guy. Recent weeks do suggest a downward trend for us and an upward trend for them but we are 3-0 against common opponents and they are 2-1 including a home loss. We've outscored their offense in those games and our defense? Has only given up 2 more points than theirs. Quit your namby pambiness you sound like a fucking gen Zer. I want to hear you say we are going to smack the Chiefs in the mouth!

A win tonight would be huge and potentially season changing. Not expecting it but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't excited about having Terry and Deebo back. Run the ball and keep the ball away from the Chiefs.

You have to use cap space to supplement the roster. There are plenty of guys below 30 who will be looking for their second contract.

Can't just sit on the money. Doesn't do any good in the piggy bank.

LOL. I don’t think I have ever been called namby pamby gen z’er. Ouch!!!
I promise that if we come out strong tonight I will do better than “smack” them in the mouth in the game thread!

Since it’s Marcus, I was originally thinking 45-10 but if Terry and Deebo can have a good game, then 45-24.

If Jayden was playing, we’d still lose but we would be competing in a shootout.

I don’t think our defense will stop at KC.

As for free agents, sign under 30. We do need to trade down our first rounder to get at least a 2nd rounder.

I just want to see some improvement that gives us hope the next 2 critical weeks or else we are starring at 3-7.


Imagine if the Dolphins upset us in Madrid.

Its my birthday tomorrow so you just know those pesky Chiefs are going to ruin it. The only good news is that our clocks went back one hour in the UK at the weekend so I only have to stay awake until quarter past midnight to see KO

Yep, may stay up to watch the 1st qtr then the rest tomorrow as and when. I'm hoping both Mariota and the D surprise us and at least keep it tight. If they destroy us it won't bode well going forward, JD5 or no JD5.
