Digital Recording.

What device(s) would make it possible to record the games to DVD. Therefore making it possible to copy and distribute? I'd like to start making a video library of all Redskins games, and I'm sure others here would like to also. Any suggestions? Can those DVR type devices do that? Tivo?

i think i heard something like you have to pay 100 bucks before you can copy anything to rewriteable dvds. that's so you don't get sued for copying things, i think. that's my vague idea of how it works. i might be wrong though.

I have a Panasonic DMR E80H, have had it for a couple of years. Not only does it record to hard drive but you can then edit and burn to DVD. I like it a lot.

There are a ton of similar devices on the market and this year should see the launch of PC based media share devices. A couple of chaps on here record to their PC's and edit down from there.

As for LEGALLY copying the stuff for distribution. That has to be copyright infringement. :nono:

Remember to take into consideration the type of media you want to record to. DVD comes in more than one format. +R/RW and -R/RW, and occasionally in -RAM. For example if your DVD Recorder records only to +R/RW and your computer on reads -R/RW well then it was a big waste of money. The DVD market is very unstable with a specific format...There are blue laser dvds as opposed to red laser, there is even something like an HDDVD -R/RW for hi def....
Don't spend too much money because in a few years it could be worthless...
