Should this scare us? What are your thoughts of the Tuna, Keyshawn, and Vinny back together again?

Mattyk 03-31-2004 05:53 PM

I would have been scared 5 years ago.

Vinny is way past his prime, I don't think he would even be able to beat out QC at this point.

I think Key will be decent down there though, he should easily lead the team in catches, probably in the 80-90 range.

Not at all worried. I really tihnk the starter for Dallas next year will be Quincy Carter. I dont htink Henson will have had enough time to develop, considering his time off, and Vinny is just too old to be playing now.

I am not worried about vinny from a QB perspective but as a teacher to Carter this could be pretty dangerous, Carter has tons of athletic ability, and Vinny is a great teacher (look at Pennington).

SmootSmack 03-31-2004 06:09 PM

I imagine he'd be there more as a tutor to Henson. I could see Testaverde playing one more year then joining Parcells coaching staff

Redskins8588 03-31-2004 06:13 PM

I agree Vinny is past his prime, but as a teacher and Dallas having basicly 3 young QB's the future looks pretty intimidating.

azskinsfan2 03-31-2004 07:56 PM

Why should we be scared?? We've got Joe Gibbs, Brunnell, Ramsey, Portis, Arrington, Smoot, etc. etc. The freakin' boys should be scared!!!!!!

I hope he starts for them because he's way over the hill. Man, the Cowboys really are weak at QB and RB ... it's amazing they won as many games as they did last season. Goes to show how far you can go with a good defense and nothing else.

jdlea 03-31-2004 08:40 PM

Last year Vinny Testaverde proved to me that he can't hack it, Parcells won't change that. Sorry about your luck Big D, but you picked up 2 losing QB's this offseason.

Note to Vinny: Retire!

skinsfanthru&thru 04-01-2004 01:28 AM

wasn't vinny the one throwing dink and dunk passes against the skins last year? and like the milk in my fridge, he's way past his expiration date. he's pretty much just gonna be a tutor for henson and/or carter.

Daseal 04-01-2004 08:20 AM

In his defense he didn't exactly have the best WR core to catch his balls. But yeah, his career is basicly over, but I'm a bit scared of what Quincy Carter can do with Parcells and Vinny teaching him everything they know.

sonny-j-no9 04-01-2004 08:53 AM

Lets see... Mark Brunell and Pat Ramsey or Vinny Testicles and Quincy Carter... No contest. YAWN....

Skins fan 44 04-01-2004 08:58 AM

So thats why I could not sleep at night. I heard about that last night. Bring him on.

Jamaican'Skin 04-01-2004 09:15 AM

This just goes to show how our division is definately going to be the best. I think Parcells is just trying to find a mentor for Henson and Carter, but I doubt Testaverde will start.
