FoxSports Poll, Skins need our help!!!

The Skins need our help in this poll. Were getting killed by the Cowboys and losing to the Giants as well.

I'd rather be the underdog this year. I'm going to relish watching the Skins rock the world by winning the NFC East!

I love our team with no respect, we can sneak up on some teams this year. Underdog role is a good one to have in the modern NFL.

Anyone else sick of being the 'one to watch' only to get our asses handed to us?

I'll take underdog also.

Ain't nuthin wrong with being the underdog. I remember in high school, my senior year, our team was the underdog of our group. We came out headhunting and busting ass, like we had nothing to lose. Trust me, when a team has nothing to lose, they can be the most dangerous.

Exactly. Remember what we did to the Vikings last year...

We need to get better in division games and we will get respect, if we were to ask an average fan around the league who is better the skins or the cowboys most would say the cowboys. It is only cause we lose to them infact outside our division in the NFC we went 5-1 and the loss was to greenbay and we know that it was possible to win that game had things been called right.
obviously we can't take games away from teams but if we were and took the games we lost to dallas and won them we would go 8-8 and they would go 4-12 and if you were just to simply throw it out they would be 4-10

You lost me at the end there BigSKINBauer, but I agree with your initial take about winning division games. Obviously that's crucial to having a winning season and to challenge for the division. Playoff teams beat up on the lesser division teams and at least split with the good teams. We haven't done either one in a long time.

Yeah we have not been able to put together a consistent on field product that can beat the teams we should and challenged the others. I think that is a product of having so many coaches in such a short time and never getting the on field cohesion that quality teams display. I am lookign foward to running the same basic offense and defense two years ina row. I am sure our offense is changing but it probably still isn't a total overhaul like in the past.

I'm also looking forward to taking more than 1-2 takes in the division. (We only won one right?)

Re: FoxSports Poll, Skins need our help!!!

From 1992 to 2004 we have had 4 winning seasons. From 1999 to 2004 we have had one winning season. I voted for the Skins because I'm a fan and beleive we are making the right moves to turn this ship around. I don't think other team fans are as optimistic as we are and we can only blame our past for the respect we are receiving now. I think our D did a good job last year of earning respect but it was lost in the poor play from our offense.

I'm still shocked they think just because the Cowboys had a good draft that they are instantly contenders...

That shows you how much stock people take in the draft. The Giants added more quality depth through proven veterans than the Cowboys. The Cowboys signed a quarterback just as immobile as Vinny and added unproven rookies. I wouldn't begin to think that would turn them around from 6-10 to unseating the Eagles.

The only thing people may be looking at is they were in the playoffs in 2003 and believe that they are a better team than we saw in 2004.

I don't think I've read a positive prediction for this season yet.

Everybody seems to think the Skins are doomed to another losing season. The truth is most experts are judging their opinions on last season and they're focusing on only the negatives that have come out of Redskins Park this offseason.

I think these experts are in for a big surprise!
