Re: Explosions rock London, at least 33 dead
it's scary how easily and coldly these attacks are carried out. my hopes and prayers are with all of the innocents involved in this attack. with the announcement of the olympics yesterday and the strong angry responses to the selection, does anyone else think this might have something to do with London being awarded the 2012 olympics?

Re: Explosions rock London, at least 33 dead
Everytime I read something about terrorist attacks, I get pissed off. Since when did this start happening all of a sudden?! I mean there is no way of stopping this either. I mean the terrorists just want us all to die, and it's easy to convince impressionable young people to want to blow themselves up for what they consider "is a higher good". I hate to break it to them but the devil will be ramming the pitchfork right up their colons in hell for this type of shit.

Terrorists didn't just come out of nowhere, only thing that's different is they're striking on our soils now.

I know.. What I mean is, why now? Why start doing this recently? It just seems it's more worldwide than it has been in the past. What are they trying to accomplish?

It's nice to see even "terrorist" organizations are condemning this. |
Re: Explosions rock London, at least 33 dead
I thought it being connected with the 2012 Olympics except wasn't it a bit of a surprise that London got the games? Unless they had attacks planned at all of the finalist cities and then decided they would make the official attack on whatever city was selected.
Or this could be connected to the G8 Summit. Or it could just be a random attack |
Re: Explosions rock London, at least 33 dead
Terrorism has been around forever.
We survived the P-IRA blowing up the UK, we can outlast the radical Islamic types. I just feel for the poor souls who got up this morning for the last time and the families who've been changed forvever. |

Re: Explosions rock London, at least 33 dead
My first thought when I heard about this is today just happens to be the 7th day of the 7th month of 2005.
Could be an IRA protest of Britain getting the Olympics, but the Sinn Fein has condemmed it as well. Probably just a radical arm of al-qaeda trying to spread fear into Western Europe. These attacks are planned months, if not years in advance. For it to revolve around the Olympics or G-8 is probably coincidence. Britain has been heavily involved in fighting the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The mysterious note released mentioned fair warning to other European allies to the US. |
