Other than Ramsey...
After a whole week of discussing Patrick Ramsey's feet, I feel its time to move on. He's a size 12 and yes he wears Odor Eaters. That's all us fans need to know, lol.
I'm actually getting really excited to see a couple of guys coming into tonights game. The competition between Rock and Nemo is looking great, and now they're bringing along Manuel White. The Post said he's having a bit of trouble adjusting to the new position, but he was going to get some playing time at H-back tonight. It may be against 3rd stringers, but he was a fourth round pick, so maybe he'll suprise us and add a nice twist to the H-back competition. The main reason I'm excited, though is to see our first pick of the draft Carlos Rogers actually move around. I'm really eager to see how he fits into our system of attacking defense. The coaching staff was high on the guy from day one and say he's gonna be great. I don't think he was drafted to be a number two guy very long. He's got a 41" vertical. I can't wait for someone to throw a couple of jump balls his way. I was just wondering what you guys will be looking for the most in tonights game BESIDES RAMSEY. lol... but seriously... |
Re: Other than Ramsey...
I'll have my eye firmly on Walt Harris. He got beat like a mule last week. I hope it was just jitters or something because we really need him to play well to have a chance when the season starts. I feel Gregg Williams can do a lot with nothing at nearly any position but CB, they are so important to his scheme that you really have to pay for good ones!

Re: Other than Ramsey...
Definitely Carlos Rogers. I really want to see him in action, because I never saw him play in college. I also want to see how Kevin Dyson plays as well. If he comes out and has a good game again......D-Mac might have some worrying to do. I think Dyson has a lot to prove since he's coming two injuries. Remember he was a legit #2 receiver before his injuries.......

Yeah, the reciever battle is getting good. I watched last weeks game twice and both times missed Dyson's sideline grab everyone was talking about. I did notice McCants actually catch a couple of balls (althoug I did see him drop at least one). I still don't know what kind of injury he has with his hand, but if thats what it was in training camp, I take back all the bad stuff I said about the guy. |
Re: Other than Ramsey...
That's too bad. He obviously needs the practice.

Re: Other than Ramsey...
Well I definitely want to see Brunell and Campbell, but also I want to pay closer attention to the MLB battle tonight

Re: Other than Ramsey...
I'd like to see more of the Cheerleaders tonight. I think people forget how important they are. At least Colley hasn't!LOL

Re: Other than Ramsey...
I also want to see how Philip Daniels plays.......

Major League Baseball sucks. |
Re: Other than Ramsey...
I will be interested in the 1st d-line tonight. They have most of the guys there so they should be able to create the pressure that was missing last game. You could see that in the last game, Williams was not pushing to control the offenses game. He was pressuring, but still putting some guys out there in positions where they had to make plays.
I think we will see some better pressure in spots early on tonight, then a more traditional (for Williams) approach to defense as he puts guys in bad positions and looks for who steps up. Also, I'll be watching Nemo M.White McCune Dyson |
Re: Other than Ramsey...
I also wonder if he'll hold taylor out until the second quarter again. I think its his way of letting the new guys battle it out against the first stringers, but why do that to the other teams second stringers lol. I mean, they're competing for a job and wanting to catch balls and make plays. I wonder if Williams is just having a little fun out there watching them sweat ST a little bit.

Not coming to pratices, not calling Gibbs back, and getting arrested.

Re: Other than Ramsey...
I'd like to see the rookies, and the guys coming back from the PUP list. But mostly, I'd like to see no injuries.
At least on our side. Cincy can rot. ;) |
