Thanks Canuck u always got it together. I have a question though... We see the total salary numbers but do you have an idea of how much of the contract for each player may be encentive based and if so how does that effect the total amount they get payed on your sheet?

Re: Cap sheets update 8/24/05
What were they thinking by giving LaVarr 10.5 million in 2006?? Isn't that a bit ridiculous?
I don't think the cap situation is quite as bad. Consider the following cuts for players who are in the last or second to last year of their contract, with the exception of Brunell: Brunell - 5.43 Noble - 2.63 Bowen - 2.4 Hariis - 2.75 McCants - 2.167 Raymer - 1.118 Total: 16.495 Between these cuts and contract renegotiations, I'm optimistic they can get things figured out. |

That's pretty much how every offseason goes. |

If you look at the "Contracts" sheet under the Notes column, you'll see the contract details. When it says "LTBE" or "ULTBE" these refer to incentives that are "likely to be earned" or "unlikely to be earned". LTBE count against the cap, while ULTBE do not. If the ULTBE do get reached only then would they count against the cap. It's always hard to get accurate data on incentives, so I have to make educated guesses where necessary. At the end of the day though incentives are negligible in the grand scheme of things, at least with regards to the Skins cap number. |
