Tuesday Morning Stats
After last night's win, the Redskins offense and defense are ranked as follows:
[B]Offense[/B] 10th ranked overall 20th ranked passing offense (2 TDs, 2 INTs, 57% completion, 8 sacks) 6th ranked rushing offense (134 yds per game, 4.1 yards per carry, 0 TDs) [B]Defense[/B] 4th ranked overall (behind Tampa, Buffalo, Philly) 13th ranked passing defense (1 TD, 1 INT, 56% completion, 3 sacks) 5th ranked rushing defense (65 yards per game, 2.8 yards per carry, 1 TD) As for individual players: Santana Moss (9 rcpts, 255 yards, 2 TDs) leads the NFC in receiving yards. Mark Brunell (28/48 for 361 yards, 2 TDs, 1 INT) has an 87 passer rating. Marcus Washington has 19 tackles (tied for 5th in the league). |

The only stat that means anything is wins but it is nice to see something validating in this department. If we can keep it up we're in good shape.

Exactly- these stats are meaningless so early in the season. All that matters is that we are among a handful of unbeaten teams as of now. Thanks for posting the info though - Philly being ranked ahead of us on defense is due to their 42-3 romp over the 49ers. |

I will say this...Moss is tied for 2nd in the NFL in receiving yards with TO and just two yards behind Randy Moss. For a team that was dormant for 7 1/2 qtrs this stat may have a little meaning?????
