Santana Moss
So many critics scoffed when we traded for him and look what we've ended up with. A true homerun hitter that this offense so desperately needed. Is there any doubt who got the better end of the deal at this point??
I always knew this guy was fast but damn, he's faster than I thought and what really strikes me is how fluid he is. He's silky smooth in his routes and he doesn't loose any speed at all moving in and out of his breaks. He's the kind of WR if you hit him in stride he's gone. As long as he can stay healthy he could be in for a huge year! |
Re: Santana Moss
seriously, when was the last time we saw a redskins QB hitting a receiver in stride for a TD? Ramsey has never done it, probably because he can do little other than gunning the ball to a waiting receiver.
I think we may have to go all the way back to the Jeff George-Irving Fryar TD against St Louis to find the last time. Its sickening to watch the NFL highlights every sunday and see almost every other team but us (and maybe Baltimore) have these types of pass plays. Hope this will change things for us. |

it does seem like it's been a while since we've had something like that. it just takes a burner and some accuracy to have a chance though. it def. crossed my mind on dallas' flea flicker that had we run that play, the ball would have been hideously underthrown or overthrown. i'm glad to see that we took some shots downfield (albeit out of desperation). if in 2 wks. we can improve our offensive play even a bit we might hit that 9 win mark ppl were hoping for. |
Re: Santana Moss
hes got good hands too! gardner probably would have dropped one!

Re: Santana Moss
Moss should have had three touchdowns in that game. He was several yards behind Henry on that 1st quarter play in the corner of the endzone and the pass was about two football lengths short from being an early td confidence builder.

Re: Santana Moss
The Associated Press has reported, "HURRRICANE SANTANA STRIKES DALLAS" in the middle of the night.

Re: Santana Moss
I'm defintley happy he played like that. I was a little dissapointed not too see too much of Patten, who is our possession guy. I missed it in all the hype, did he get hurt at all or osmthing??? At least we have a couple weeks to get healthy.

Re: Santana Moss
One other thing I noticed about Moss, he was one cool cat after both touchdowns. I could just see him thinking after the first one "No reason to celebrate yet" and after the second "That's what I do". Talk about acting like you've been there before. That is exactly how I like to see guys on this team act. Very classy, I hope to see a lot more of this.

I noticed the same thing and completely agree. The showboating gets so old and tired from the likes of TO, Joe horn and so on. Seeing a pro like Moss haul in two gorgeous passes for game winning scores in the final minutes of a huge game, and then simply high-five and flip the ball to the ref is a very refreshing site. Truly a Redskins-Gibbs player. |

So sick hear Cowboy fans talking all the time about beatting us. Now they can live with it till our next get together! :dallas: :dallas: :dallas: :dallas: :dallas: :dallas: |

It will be a season or two before we know if we got the better end but I know on thing.......Coles didn't wanted to be here and that was all right by me!!! Welcome Mr.Moss and no matter what happens now you are in Redskin history!!! |

Re: Santana Moss
Santana to Brunell was a beauty to watch. But was it just me or did Moss sound like Boomhauer from King of the Hill during his interview.

Truly a Redskins-Gibbs player.[/QUOTE] Absolutely! I'm glad others noticed that too. He acted as though he SHOULD be there and didn't need to draw attention to himself. Learn a lesson in class, Moss, T.O., Horn. |
