LaVar not happy

I really hope he gets a start after the bye week. |
Re: LaVar not happy
i hope so too. he's too good to be a backup. i think he will definitely be put in a bigger role after the bye week. apparantly he thinks his knee is healthy, but dale lindsay says he's not 100 percent yet. well i hope two weeks is enough practice for him to get to 100 percent.

Re: LaVar not happy
I hope Lavar get back in soon as well but what did he expect when last time he said they rushed him back he shoulda known they were gonna take their time.
|
Re: LaVar not happy
He wants to be out there helping the team, but I think after what happened last year the team and coaches are in no rush to push him too far too quick, even if he says he's 100%.
He thought he could come back last year and look what happened... then he turned it around on the team. Not gonna happen this time. |
Re: LaVar not happy
I am confident G Williams has great plans for an athelete of his caliber. He'll be a happy dude soon! I hope

Re: LaVar not happy
I really think he should play more DE on passing downs. I wonder if it's the knee or Lavar's freelancing nature that is keeping him on the bench. If he plays DE he can freelance all he wants if you ask me. Dwight Freeney is like five pounds heavier than Lavar.

Re: LaVar not happy
When is Lavar happy? That's the real question. The guy has been nothing but a pain in the ass since he arrived here. Remember his first contract, he agreed in principle to terms and then tried to pull back in signing it, then signed it.

Re: LaVar not happy
Seems like every other month there's some "Lavar Not Happy" article. We could probably do a whole forum of Unhappy Lavar articles.

Re: LaVar not happy
I just think they put the quotes together and slap that title on the peice. He dosent really say anything that makes him unhappy. I love how when people say they would like to play, all of the sudden they are unhappy. I didnt play a whole lot in high school when I would have liked too, but that dosent mean I'm unhappy, ya know? If a reporter asked me if I wanted to play I would say somthing like Lavar did.
That being said, I agree that hes way to good to be on the sidelines and hope hes out there more vs Seattle. |
Re: LaVar not happy
I will communicate with him, 'hey Lavar your the most overated player in football" now you know where you stand.
How many 60 million dollar LB's can't even crack a lineup? Especially with the only name on our LB corps is M. Washington. |

Re: LaVar not happy
well the unhappiness from not being talked about it sounds real.
it really sounds like LaVar is not as much a system guy as they want him to be. everything he does he does with emotion, look at all the off-field stuff, on field must be even more so. especially with the huge chip he's carrying right now. loose canon. i remember him not liking playing DE, but man that's what we NEED. wonder if he'd consider it again, and how he'd take it? hell with Noble out, and the LBs playing so well, why doesn't Williams check up on his 3-4? |

It sounds like that may be it, that he (like ramsey) just isnt doing what the staff wants to see him do in practice yet. |

Re: LaVar not happy
"LaVar needs more work [in practice]," Lindsey said. "On top of that, he has to feel confident that his knee is OK and that he understands what the [defensive] system asks him to do and then can go out and do that to the best of his ability, and we have to feel the same way about him."
The impression I'm getting from Lindsey's quote: 1) LaVar is still free-lancing and not doing what Gregg Williams is asking him to do. 2) LaVar doesn't fully understand Gregg Williams' scheme. If that's the case, they are doing the right thing by not starting him IMO. |
