Moss

So what does it feel like to have a WR who can actually make a difference in the passing game? The guy is fast, runs quality routes, has good body control, great hands and always seems to get in position to make the big reception when we need it. Plus he is maybe second to no one in the league after the catch. What is his YAC this year? Is he as good as Randy or TO where he can simply dominate? No. But is he effective enough to be a difference maker on a weekly basis? Definitly.

Re: Moss

I bet he runs better after the catch than TO or Randy.

If only they wouldn't have taken away that touchdown from him yesterday. If it was CALLED a touchdown, a review wouldn't have taken it away. I guess there just wasn't "overwhelming evidence".

who knew there were receivers who got open and DON'T DROP IMPORTANT PASSES? Moss is a godsend.

How did Rod and Lav do this weekend? Did Rod even play? I wasn't sure about our WRs but I am now sure they are at least better than last year.

Re: Moss

Coles is tearing it up in NY and is actually averaging less per catch than he did here last year. Isn't that a pisser.

Re: Moss

yeah i liked Coles when he was here but i like Santana's production and game-winning catches more

Let's also remember Coles has had a player with a torn rotator cuff throwing to him and now they have a 3rd stringer playing.

Re: Moss

hmmm, let's see now.

Coles wanted out. Having a bad year so far.
Smoot did too. Vikes suck!!
Gardner.....well He's not playing at all.
Pierce, but the Giants defense is woeful so far, IMO.

Far as I can see, none of these guys really upgraded teams.

Re: Moss

It doesn't matter who your QB is, you still have to catch the ball when it comes your way, and Coles has had a few costly drops this year.

Excuses.

He's not getting it done. Not even close. What's wrong with his hands? Why can't he catch when it comes to him, Daseal?

I still would like to see Patten get into it more...as well as Jacobs. Could only help as we make a run for the (cough, cough) playoffs.

I,too, would like to see Patten get some catches but he and Brunell are gonna definately need to work on timing. Each time, Patten had to either slow down or stop altogether and wait, that's not too good. I am a fan of Brunell but that's one of the things he's gonna need to work on. I think his timing with Thrash and Moss are pretty good but he and Patten are gonna need to work on it a bit.

Re: Moss

His timing will improve as he gets more opportunity to pratice with the first teamers. As far as Coles goes he is clearly not the WE he could be. Anyone heard anything about his toe and its affect on his speed and cutting? The telling sign is that Gardner has been nothing for Carolina. This was a guy that many people thought had skills and given the opporunity could produce. He'd probably drop a bunch of balls but he'd at least give you something. Apparently the Gibss crew saw this to be a mriage and off he went. I for one thought he was a decent #2 who simply needed a change of scenery. I am glad I was wrong.
