Skins at KC

Moving forward to next week...

I'm really excited about next week and cheering our team on. This can go both ways for us with a better defensive unit from KC coming from a BYE-week, but of course nothing could make all of us happier than a W.

Who do you all think will make a great impact for this game? Can KC's secondary stop Brunell and Moss combination? Will CP finally score and have a break out game?

Everyone's thoughts is appreciated...

Well I for one don't think KCs defense is more capable than Denver's. In fact, Denver may have been the toughest D we've played so far, yes even better than Dallas'.

Kansas City is such a weird team. One week they can score 50 and the next give up 50. We won't have any major problems with their defense. And our defense matches up pretty well with their offense.

I think this game, like yesterday's, boil down to penalties and turnovers. If we can limit both, I think we can beat this team pretty good.

I say 31-10. Skins.

portis said that there was a game he was looking foward to more than denver... and since miami isn't on the schedule, I think he was talking about KC and the 200+ yards they've given up on the ground to elite RBs on a regular basis.

Green hasn't looked very sharp lately. We need to stuff up that running game, in order to win, Priest and Holmes are both really really good. Its going to be tough!

The real question is, how many Olineman will KC be missing. If they're still missing some -- we have a much better shot.

KC was 27th in pass defense.......so Burnell, Moss, and Patten........need to take advantage.

The area of concern is the Chef's 2 headed running game Priest and Johnson.....can we stop them. Is Willie Roaf going to play--they have really missed him........And of course the Chef's are always tough at Arrowhead.........

We can shut the crowd up with a concerted drive and a score, 3 and out for them and another concerted drive.

The way our offense is playing, KC may not have the ball in thier hands enoughto put up 30 points. The thing is, I think that we will need to plan on putting up 40 points just to make sure.

they tend to be a run first slow scoring team, they eat up clock like we've been doing, but they've been much better in turning drives into points. Roaf is probably the single most important offensive weapon they have, as weird as that may sound. If he's gone or shields + someone else i missing, we'll have a much easier time.

I've just given the Skins D a great boost in their quest for more sacks, fumbles, INTs and TDs, I've dropped them from all my Fantasy Football teams.

If that doesn't work nothing will.

Roaf will be back this week. This game will be tougher than the Denver game but if we eliminate the turnovers and penalties we have a shot at this one.

Re: Skins at KC

I think Denver is the tougher team. KC can run that's for sure, but I think GW is going to feel comfortable stuffing 8 men in the box on these guys. Trent Green has not gotten on track and they don't have any scary WRs. As we stuff 8 men in the box to stop the run, we're going to have to rely on the corners to shut down the WRs, because Sean Taylor is going to need to pay a lot of attention to Tony Gonzalez. I don't care if Gonzo has had a really quiet season so far, shutting him down is key.

As usual, our defense depends on our corners in isolated coverage. If they hold up, everything else takes care of itself.

Arrington will play in this game, be a crazy man, and shut down anyone around the middle.
