Arrington: 'I could have handled things a bit better'
LaVar Arrington said he could have handled his benching better, that the coaches were right about his knee injury, and that his relationship with the Washington Redskins isn't beyond repair. He even confessed he's had to learn how to run all over again......ESPN.com
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2213058 It seems everyone coming up with conspiracy theories and bashing GW were well wrong. |
Re: Arrington: 'I could have handled things a bit better'
He should have come to this conclusion sooner. However, it's tough to step up and admit publicly he was wrong, and I give him props for it! I hope we see the intensity of old he brings to the D. We need him to be all he can be. May be a nice spark to the Defense

You all can't see this, but i have a HUGE grin on my face right now......ear-to-ear.
I can't wait for Sunday night!!! |

Re: Arrington: 'I could have handled things a bit better'
where are all the "trade Lavar" posts now?
|
Re: Arrington: 'I could have handled things a bit better'
LaVar has showed such maturity in dealing with this situation lately. Once he realized that sulking wasn't going to solve anything, he actually started working and listening. I know that doesn't sound impressive, but in this age of media hyped prima donnas, I'm floored.

One of the thousands of reasons he is the most popular player among the fans here in Redskin country. Can't wait to see #56 back in the starting D! |

I could not agree more. I know it sounds wierd.........but I am kinda' proud of him |
Re: Arrington: 'I could have handled things a bit better'
Where are all the newbies with 56 in their username since he started playing a lot? Weren't they the ones leading the charge against the team and GW in favor of one guy? One guy who has admitted that he was mostly wrong at the time and that those of us who said maybe he just wasn't 100% ready to go seem to have been right. I don't see them around much. Weaklings they are.

Re: Arrington: 'I could have handled things a bit better'
Wow, turns out the coaches knew a thing or two.
Go figure. |

I agree he's handled things well. He's had his share of pouting here and there, but overall I think he's matured and he's finally buying in. Blache said that a light has come on for LaVar, I think that's great news for us and bad news for the rest of the league. |
where are all the "trade Lavar" posts now?
Where are all the "Williams and coaches have it in for Lavar" post now?

Re: Arrington: 'I could have handled things a bit better'
well, we said at the time once lavar starts playing all the new flood of lavar56 names would magically go away, so no big shock there ;)
the big point was we were wrong on brunell, and unlike gibbs, GW turned in a #3 D last year, so its kinda hard not to trust his competence... or ask for him to be fired? I mean really... |
