[font='Times New Roman'][size=5]Being very new to the site, I’m sure this has been mentioned before, but what is the deal with Mike Wise and Mike Wilbon. I don’t need the local sportswriters to paint everything with rose-colored glasses, but Wise and Wilbon are openly hostile to the Skins week in and week out. Wise went after the fans in the stadium with a passion before the season began, and I can’t read an article by Wilbon without him finding a way to work a Chicago team in the mix. I know he’s from Chicago, the whole world knows he’s from Chicago, but guess what, I live in DC, I could care less about reading about “your” Bears in DC. If the Skins win, Wilbon says it was a game they should have won anyway, and when they lose, they stink worse than the most horrible team in the league. Did the Post tell them to write this way because Snider pulled their tickets?[/size][/font]

I don't know, but I really don't care for any of them at the Post, starting with Sally Jenkins. I read their articles, form my own opinion and then I later filter everything through discussions posted here.

I feel I get more critical commentary and insight from this site any day, any hour of the week than from any of those guys could ever produce.

Since we live in a town which is at the center of the world when it comes to politics and power, perhaps their hostillity (though Wilbon would never admit in 100 years that he dislikes the Redskins) has something to do with them feeling a need to create a "Right" and a "Left" when it comes to certain sports teams in this city. Of course that may sound absurd to some, but that's just my little theory.

I'm a big fan of serifs, but not abnormally large fonts. By the way, WELCOME. :)

Wise & Wilbon are sports columnists doing what sports columinsts do, writing controversial opinionated pieces that get readers talking.

I like Wilbon & Kornheiser. Neither of them are intentionaly negative. If they are negative it's only becasue negative things happened on the field.

Yeah, I gotta say I like wilbon, and Kornhieser is somewhat entertaining. I do like, however when I read anything in the post how nice and neat the font is and how it doesn't come accross as hostile.

Wise and Jenkins aren't my favorite.

I normally don't read Kornheiser, but that's mainly because he's a little too goofy for my taste. I do like him on PTI, though.

Boswell, when he writes about the skins, is far and away my favorite. But he's mainly on the Nats beat now.
