Does anyone know under what circumstances Charlie Brown left the team? Also, can you believe Mosely missed 4 field goals in that game? If Hall missed 4 field goals we'd be calling for his head on a spike!

Some time during the middle of the 1984 season, I believe the Cardinals game, Brown tore his knee up bad and was out for the rest of the season. This is a big reason Monk had so many passes thrown his way that record breaking season. Everyone knew he was our only target and yet they still couldn't stop him. But still he waits outside the doors of Canton. Anyhow, it was his second major knee injury in just three years of being a Redskin so when the opportunity presented itself to trade CB that summer he was traded to the Falcons where he was reunited with former Redskins OC Dan Henning, who was no Atlanta's head coach. I don't remember who the Skins got in return. I want to say R.C. Thielemann |
