3 of 4 columnists picks Skins to go to playoffs
On the ESPN show around the horn, the only one who didn't agree that the Redskins would make the playoffs was that dumbass Woody Paige. I think he is half retarded. All of them seem to have valid points as is to why the Skins would make it in the playoffs.

I guess we're not flying below the radar any longer, after yester'day's big game. I didn't mind us being a little forgotten by all the "experts."

Re: 3 of 4 columnist picks skins
see i like woody. My problem is that he takes things way to far. He is convinced that the falcons will make the playoffs and win the superbowl but he refuses to look at logic or reason and make picks. He doesn't really think the falcons are any good but since he said it 2 months ago that the falcons would win the conference he refuses to jump off that wagon. I understand they are people and not geniouses but how can someone defend woody or any other sports caster.
We enjoy saying sally jenkins and pastabelli are stupid and biased and Dr. Z and peter king are butt buddies but how the hell do they get jobs? Is this seriously the best America has to offer? I can't believe some of the stupid analysts we have to listen to on a daily basis and refuse to believe there is no one better |
Re: 3 of 4 columnist picks skins
Didn't Woody just say on Friday we would beat the Cowboys? Does he think we peaked?

Re: 3 of 4 columnists picks Skins to go to playoffs
i like how none of them would pick us to make the playoffs last week
|
Re: 3 of 4 columnists picks Skins to go to playoffs
I acutally prefer people to stay with a team they choose. I mean , what fun is it if you chanage every week. Woody instead picked the falcons and keeps with them. Everyone else changes their mind constantly. What's the point of making a perdiction if next week you can decide to go with somethign else and then a week or so later go back to a prior prediction....

I agree. I think the Redskins play better as underdogs, because we have something to prove. It sometimes seems like we get overconfident if everyone thinks we are going to do well. |
Re: 3 of 4 columnists picks Skins to go to playoffs
Earlier this year, Woody predicted we'd win the NFC East. Weird that he's flip-flopping so completely now.

Strange enough, that still could happen. |

So if somebody doesn't pick the Redskins they are retarded? |
Re: 3 of 4 columnists picks Skins to go to playoffs
who really cares what the sportcasters think.
besides it,s in the redskins hands now to win out and go 10-6. then we all can talk postseason but until then we will have to wait and see what happens. |
Re: 3 of 4 columnists picks Skins to go to playoffs
If you look at the playoff picture at the moment, the NFC's wild card teams are:
Redskins - vs. NYG, @ PHI Cowboys - @ CAR, vs. STL Vikings - @ BAL, vs. CHI Falcons - @ TB, vs. CAR Looking at the statistics, we have consistently gotten more first downs, more yards offense, and more touchdowns than our opponents (http://www.nfl.com/teams/stats/WAS/2005/regular). The same can be said for the Cowboys (http://www.nfl.com/teams/stats/DAL/2005/regular) and Falcons (http://www.nfl.com/teams/stats/ATL/2005/regular). The Vikings are behind in all of those statistical categories (http://www.nfl.com/teams/stats/MIN/2005/regular). But you also have to look at who they're playing. The Redskins have New York at home, and the 12th man will definitely rattle Eli, and the Eagles are going nowhere. Dallas has to fight off the Panthers, which should be an interesting game, and the Rams will struggle. The Vikings have Baltimore (pushovers) and Chicago, and Brad Johnson won't be able to handle the Bears' defense without any real big-play targets. The Falcons will probably lose to the Bucs, and the Panthers will put up a good fight. Basically, I think the Redskins will go 10-6, the Cowboys'll be 9-7, the Vikings will be 9-7, and the Falcons will be 9-7. I see the Redskins getting at least to the Divisional round, assuming the defense gets healthy again. |

Ummm if you had to ask, then you dont need to know. Woody in general looks and sounds half retarded |
Re: 3 of 4 columnists picks Skins to go to playoffs
