Player of the Century Jerseys

This came up in another thread and I thought it was worth having it's own.

eBay Guides - PLAYER OF THE CENTURY JERSEYS

The other question that came up was the multiple player jerseys... those are always knock offs.

Yeah, I bought one of those before I knew what it was. It's pretty nice and all but not licenced. The Art Monk one is one that I have. If anyone has Art's address or phone number get it to me so I can get him his rightful share of royalty money.

Oh and he is one still for sale on ebay.
eBay: REDSKINS #81 ART MONK THROWBACK JERSEY WHITE 48 (item 260123156369 end time May-30-07 22:26:15 PDT)

I didn't know they were fake. You also have to love the fact that the shipping on this jersey is more than the jersey itself.

I'm sorry, I couldn't do it without actually seeing the Jersey's first hand. They are being shipped from Korea though, so there's probably a lot more shady stuff going on then just players getting jipped on thier royalty money.

Hey, as long as you know what your paying for, then go for it. I think it is bad for those mothers who buy a jersey for their kid thinking they are getting the "REAL DEAL" only to be ripped off.

God bless her!! My wife bought me an Art Monk "Players Of The Century" jersey for Christmas and was so proud she found it and at a decent price. I don't have the heart to tell her she got ripped off and really don't mind that it is not "authentic". She wanted to surprise me so did not consult me at all. It looks pretty good and fits my fat ass so Iwill just live with it. Sucks that this is so prevelant though.

How much did she pay for it?

Re: Player of the Century Jerseys

Ebay is littered with cheap knock-off jerseys. I'd say 90% of them are junk.

You get what you pay for generally. If you're paying $50 or even $100 for an "authentic" jersey, trust me it's not the real deal.

You really have to do some homework when buying jerseys on Ebay.

Have you ever looked at the ebay seller: Lakeshow2 or something like that... I don't know how he does it, but the jerseys are legit. I even took the advice in this knock off guide and emailed the pictures to M&N... they say they are good.

Someone else had a link about him a few weeks ago for a Redskin M&N... he doesn't have any skins up now... but different things go up all the time.:
eBay Seller: lakeshow2: Fan Apparel Souvenirs, Sports Mem, Cards Fan Shop items on eBay.com

For the cheaper "custom" jerseys, I use the guy who wrote the guide in the begining of this thread. They are higher quality than most, and since he does all of the signings you know the signatures are real too. He also tends to do guys that no one else makes jerseys on.

Re: Player of the Century Jerseys

Getting the standard $90 "replica" jersey is fine with me. I love the Skins, but paying over $220 for a jersey is a bit rich for me. It is like buying Levis over Guess jeans. Levis are an all around better jean than Guess, but you are just paying for the name.

WOW DO WE AGREE !!!! I know guys that drop big money on jeans, I mean bread. I could do it if I wanted but as long as i can get a pair of Levi's for less than $50 I'm good! Target is one of my favorite places to get mine, or Macy's because they have a better variety. But Levi's all the way for me.
